I’ve been going here since as long as I can remember(I think i was 8). Uncle«Eight,» you’re the best! No other place anywhere else in Canada can compare(Trust me, i’ve been to a lot of places in Canada!). make sure you get their crispy pork with the sauce and the duck! So delicious!

Roast pork from Parker Place BBQ is what dreams are made of. The lines can be long but it’s well worth the wait. The skin is delicately crispy, not tough or too thick, the meat is moist, and just all around completely satisfying in one bite. I don’t live in Canada, but I make it a point to visit Parker Place BBQ each time I head north.

I’m sorry, but this place has some of the worst roast pork that I’ve ever had. Granted, the skin was crispy and everything, but it(and the meat) just tasted… off? The taste itself was gamey and slightly rancid, I don’t know whether it was just a bad day or something, but I’m definitely not coming back after that experience.

From the outside it doesn’t look like much, however, inside it is a lot more. At first I thought that they only sold BBQ which is why I passed this shop many times but never went in until this month when my GF wanted something from here. The Roast pork on rice was actually really nice and tender with a good amount of sauce. Cheap to.

very small place. they serve combo plates or meats to go. sat down, got to ordering really quick. these ladies here are fast and get up in your face. If you are not ready, they dash and then come back impatiently. Got the combo: Cha siu n soy sauce chicken over rice. the cha sui pork was tender and lean, just how I like them. delicious with rice. chicken was moist. the meats and rice brings me back to childhood eating. as for vegetables, 1 broccoli floret. lots of locals, easy garage parking.

THEEEEEBEST Crispy Siew Yuk *Crispy Pork Belly* I’ve ever had. All they do all day is serve roast duck, bbq pork, and crispy pork belly! In the same shop they have their own butcher who is selling pork meat, chinese sausage, and«lap yuk» which is a cured pork meat. Very cool place and a great price for the rice and siew yuk! Would definitely go out of my way if I was in Vancouver to eat here.

This place has the best roast pork! For $ 210 you can buy the whole pig but as I was lacking proper chopping utensils I opted to order 20 lbs of pork instead(we were feeding a lot of people). I had made the reservation for the massive amount of meat in advance and spoke over the phone, in broken Chinese, to what turned out to be a fairly advanced in years man with limited English. Unsurprisingly he misunderstood my desired pick up date. However, when I came to pick up my order they still honoured my order despite its gargantuan size and in no time at all we were trucking away five trays of succulent, crunchy skinned roasted pork, which stayed crunchy all night. So delicious I’m motivated to brush up my chinese skills just to facilitate ordering food for parties from here more often(heck, I’ll order from here anyway!)

Very nice and crispy siu yok skin. Very tasty over all though the meat itself is a little salty. Well worth the queue.

Very good siu yok… Bbq duck is ok nothing special. I bought the pork, put it in a sealed container and took a flight to Montréal… And the skin was still crunchy. Would definitely go back next time i’m in the Vancouver area.

They are one of the best places to get your bbq duck, crackling pork and cha siu. There’s always a line-up but they do restock from time to time, so make sure you get your timing right and you’d get the freshest bbq duck. I haven’t tried their sausages yet but I was told they were really good. For the cha siu, you can order the fatty portion or the leaner portion. Same for the crispy crackling pork with or without bone, but the price varies. I get a mix of both since some people like to eat it with bone and some just like them boneless.

The setting: Hot pre-summer afternoon in early June, and it’s a long line up snaked into the front of the next vendor store. Little Old Lady(LOL), about 70 years old, lines up behind me who didn’t speak any English. The English subtitled version: LOL: There’s an awful lot of people in this line. How long is this going to be? Me thnking:(*It’s always a good thing to use a situational opener to start a conversation with someone you want to hit on*) Me: It’s not too bad. I’ve been here for 5 mins. Be patient. I’m on my phone not really paying attention to the LOL. She says something else to me but I’m too absorbed in my phone to make out what she says. Obviously I didn’t respond. She retreats on her approach. We continue to wait in line. Dude in front of me asks for BBQ pork, but«leaner» instead of the half lean half fat. My turn. Me to the butcher: Lean please. All lean. LOL: Lean? That doesn’t taste good at all! Me thinking:(OK, she’s re-engaging hoping something may come out of this exchange. Fine, I’ll play along) Me: That’s you’re opinion. Lean is good. Too much fat, you get fat. Eat lean, you stay lean.(I start doing exaggerated muscle poses and flexing to her.) LOL giggles like a 16 year old and can’t contain herself. Butcher behind the counter laughs and says, «Don’t blame me if it doesn’t taste good.» Me: I’ll never blame you because I’m lean. LOL giggles some more. My parting shot to her, «When you can eat, you are fortunate». It’s a Chinese idiom which I cannot translate, but that’s the best translation I can come up with. She blushes. I walk. The moral? If you’re male, come here if you want LOL’s to chat you up. Be prepared to banter a bit with them, wear some fitted clothing, and have your A-game with you. Don’t forget to get the full on lean BBQ pork

Their BBQ pork and duck are really good here. Worth the ten to fifteen minutes wait. Also the sausage is decent.

I grew up eating BBQ and grilled pork. I used to love it a lot until my most recent experience last week. I was craving some BBQ pork and was in line waiting to get my piece when I saw the meat slicer drop a whole rack of pork on the floor and quickly returned it to the customer pile. He didn’t even wash it or his hands. Now I worry about the cleanliness of the food from this place.

The roast pork here is by far the best I’ve ever had. The skin is extra crispy and they season it perfectly. Everytime we go to Canada we always stop here and bring roast pork home. There’s always a line, but it goes pretty fast. They are cash only so be prepared. Eat it immediately while hot; melt in your mouth goodness.

There’s a reason this place ALWAYS has a line. Seriously, though, it’s totally worth the wait. Hands down some of THE best roast pork, duck, and Chinese sausage I’ve ever had. The roast pork is perfectly seasoned and has awesomely crispy, crackly skin. The line moves fast, and it’s cash only. I can only imagine how much meat they go thru every day. If you’re in the area, get here, and order yourself a pound of roast pork ASAP.

THEBESTFOODINTOWN Amazing food, unbeatable prices, nicest people running it, what else is there to say? Other than their amazing chopping skills, these brothers make the most delicious bbq duck, bbq goose, sweet sausage, bbq pork, crispy fatty pork, and lean roast pork EVER. There’s no beating Parker Place Meat &BBQ. I’m considering moving back to Richmond just for the food. Not a sit down restaurant. It’s a butcher. There’s ALWAYS a line out the door, so be prepared to wait 20 – 60 mins #1 Chinese Food Restaurant in North America for meats and BBQ

Tucked away in a shopping mall, Parker Place Meat &BBQ is a tiny shop for your Chinese BBQ needs. Conveniently located with fair pricing and delicious meat? Definitely a must-go if you’re in the area. The folks working there are kind and quite funny. I politely asked if they accept USD and they said they’ll accept it as long as it’s real! We joked and talked while I waited in line for my turn, which is when I asked for a pound of their roast pork(Siew Yook). Unfortnately, I came up about a dollar short. They said, «Close enough!» and told me to eat some of the meat before embarking on my drive home. I appreciate their kindness and generosity, which is why I’ll be sure to stop by here again the next time I head north! I haven’t been to HKBBQ Master, but that’ll be on my next trip and I’ll be able to compare the two.

GD this place is good. My husband and I were looking for a snack/lunch/“we’re-calling-it-a-snunch” so after checking Unilocal and seeing the drool-worthy pictures, not to mention the rave reviews, we decided to drive to Richmond for shopping and food. Our first stop was this place, and it should be yours too. Dian K. and her review was perfect. Be prepared to wait in line, get the roast pork, speak clearly or say«eyet bong siuw bok». Which means, one pound of the roast pork. Get the fatty piece, because, let’s get real, it’s delicious, get a large side of rice, and hand over your cash(because that’s all they take). Then get your drool in check and devour it all. The meat is moist, which is special, since it is so hard to manage, while the skin crispy, crunchy and cracker-like, and the seasoning on the underside deliciously salty. It’s delicious, the line moved quickly and a bonus, the butcher was incredibly peppy and nice. We’ll be back!

Get in line if you want some fresh Roasted Pork with the crispy skin, or BBQ Pork or Soy Chicken. The line is better earlier in the day, during lunch or after school or weekends, the lines are insane. How you tell its good is when you get it home and eat it cold, its still good. Some places tasted good when you eat it fresh and then when you get home, its all congealed with fat and taste like plastic. You don’t need to buy a whole Soy Chicken or BBQ Duck, you can just buy half. Cook some rice and just eat this for dinner with some Sweet Soy and Sesame Oil. Yum!

If I think that this place has the best Chinese barbecue, then I have to give it 5 stars. I stopped by on a Thursday afternoon, and there were only 5 people ahead of me in line(short by normal standards). Each time I come here, I see the same guy chopping the meat in the display case(I love seeing a whole side of roasted pig in the window). He is always joking and giving attitude to the customers, but he always lets the older grandmas and grandpas cut in line so they don’t have to wait. I ended up getting: 1 pound of BBQ pork(around $ 8??): this was good, but the main attraction is: 1 pound of roast pork(around $ 10): it is amazing how crispy the skin I, even after a day or so in the fridge. Hands down, this is my favorite place for roast pork in the Vancouver area. If you like the porchetta at Meat and Bread, I would recommend getting some roast pork here and making your own sandwich(or three, for the same price as one sandwich there). They even let you choose the fattiness of your meat(I like less for the roast pork and more for the BBQ pork). As with a lot of Chinese places in Richmond, it is cash only and they close relatively early, so plan accordingly if you drove up from the States for some great pork.
