I do LOVE crepes. I usually order the blueberry and strawberry cheezecake crêpe. It’s delicious but I find at times when I go there, they tend to be stingy with the stuffing inside the crêpe. I end up eating just crêpe. Not cool. If it wasn’t so inconsistent, I’d give a higher rating.

Matcha ice cream is my go to here and honestly, it depends on the day… sometimes its super icy and sometimes its smoother but overall, it’s only around $ 3.50 and i’m okay with that.

I’ve been to a lot of crêpe places in and around town and I appreciate that there are variations between the French and Asian style. It’s just a matter of preference and depending on what the occasion is I have gone either way. Just so that you are aware that you are getting, as others have mentioned, fast food quality crepes. This means that you’re getting a lot of synthetic flavors. In all fairness I did not know this when I ordered and was a little off put when presented with this, especially since most dessert places in Richmond make an effort to put some real fruit and cream. It wasn’t bad, however, was just left wondering how this is any different than me getting a donut at the 7 – 11? The customer service was great and prices are decent which is why I am giving it a neutral 3. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I ordered a matcha crêpe… or at least I think I did. I came with a girlfriend of mine who got the regular vanilla ice cream. We had a bite of each other’s and I honestly could not tell the difference between the two other than the visual colors.

Hmm. It hasn’t been a while since I posted something, and I apologize to that. I’ve needed to catch up with my bucket list for summer, because it is coming to an end… SO. Mazazu Crêpe is located in the food court. It has a selection of crepes, made with fresh fruit and cream, which seems to have a Japanese twist. I bought the«Double Strawberry Soft Ice Cream Crêpe». It apparently also came with a brownie. At least they said it was supposed to come with one. They said they ran out of ice cream, and brownies. I mean… come on. Both things that make the crêpe important and there gone. It has been like that for… I don’t know. THREEMONTHS. I am serious. They run out of ingredients all the time. So I had a cheese cake sliver and whipped cream instead of ice cream. And why don’t you look at it? A very nice comparison on how it looks. I just bite the crêpe, and it tasted bland. That’s what I thought. I think what there trying to do is to make crepes with such exotic ingredients that cover up the actual taste of the crêpe. That was pretty sad. The biggest bomb on this train wreck is that the service, is TERRIBLE. I mean, they hardily pay attention on what your ordering, give you no utensils at all, and hardily make the crêpe good enough for your tastes. Seriously… Come on. I feel like they will go out of business soon, if they don’t do anything about it. I strongly, STRONGLY recommend you don’t even try to order something here EDIT* The ice cream by it self isn’t bad, but it’s 3 dollars and there is corn flakes at the bottom to rip you off

Got the Double Strawberry Cheesecake Soft Ice Cream Crêpe with milk soft ice cream for $ 6. The crêpe itself I didn’t find to have much flavor. The strawberries, cheesecake, and ice cream were tasty, but not high quality – to me you could find similar quality ingredients at the local grocery store. The crêpe wasn’t tightly packed – more stuff could have been packed inside. All in all, the crêpe was good, but nothing spectacular. The service was also not impressive; when busy preparing crepes, the server ignored customers in line instead of telling them she’d be with them shortly. Might visit again, if craving ice cream and something else sweet. Otherwise, there’s many options in this food court.

3.75÷5 So I had a coupon for 10% off for this place I got back in October when I was shopping at Daiso. I just kept it in my wallet and I don’t think I remembered ever having a crêpe… Okay maybe at IHOP when I was like 7 but yeah. So officially I didn’t get to try it because I’m the nicest sister in the world and gave it my younger sister but I tried a little and I will go get MYSELF one and EAT it all! Muahaha but the only reason I am giving it a 3.75÷5 is because they couldn’t put ice cream in it because I requested it to go. Awww. It would be nice if you can get the ice cream too! It’s a nice treat to have walking around but you get really full! Goodness.

The place is called Mazazu Crêpe and although I didn’t try their crepes, I can comment on their ice cream. Bland, bland, bland. The matcha ice cream was so tasteless. Is it that expensive to add more flavor? They get a 2⁄5 for now unless they wow me with their crepes.

I love this place, the ice cream taste AMAZING. JUSTAMAZING. they offer milk or green tea icecream but if you can’t decide they also offer milk and green tea mixed together. Although the milk icecream is around like $ 3, getting greentea or mixed is more expensive but just by a few dimes. They offer ice cream in cups(with corn flackes at the bottom but you can ask for no corn flackes) or in waffle cones. They have a decently wide variety of crepes, from sweet to savory, chocolate to eggs. It’s also decently inexpensive too. Depending, you can get a crêpe I think from around $ 4-$ 6. Since there is usually only one worker(sometimes 2) there will be a wait time for the food and if there’s a line. One reason why it’s not 5 stars is that once or twice when I ordered a crêpe, the skin tasted kind of like fish but most of the time it’s not like that. Overall, it’s great value, ok customer service and steady wait. P.S they also offer some Japanese drinks(soda, canned coffe ect) and smoothies.

Nevermind the poor food quality(The crêpe I ordered last time was rather messy, rubbery, and was an utter piece of junk). My main complaint here is the service. SERVICE is important for any business. When the food you serve is crappy, the only saving grace to that poor experience is the service. You could pull it off and make customers happy just by providing better service in order to compensate for the poor food quality. I was there earlier and decided to give them another chance. However, after standing there for a good 3 minutes, the girl who was working there took no notice of me as if she was blind. After that, I decided to walk to the other side and get her attention. She had the audacity to tell me to get back to the other side if I wanted to order. I told her that I was waiting there for a good 3 minutes and I would like some service please. She decided to go right back into what she was doing. Maybe she didn’t hear me well or she could be brain-dead. I stormed off and would never order from this place again even if this was the last crêpe place in this whole wide world.

I ordered #23, which is a japanese cheesecake with whipped cream and strawberries, wrapped in a crêpe. The crêpe was decently crispy, paper thin, and lukewarm. The crêpe itself was meh, but the cheesecake was actually pretty good! The cheesecake was light and airy, and wasn’t too sweet. A lot better than I had expected. As for the strawberries, there were only two measly pieces. They were rather stingy with the whip cream too. And everyone is right, the service here sucks haha. The girls don’t crack a smile, and don’t look at you eye level when you’re ordering. However, I’m willing to look past that, since it is a food court. I heard their green tea ice cream is good, so I’m definitely trying that next time!

We went to Abredeen centre on Sun afternoon, we didn’t feel like to eat and just wanted to get a drink. I walked around at food court area and suddenly craving for an ice-cream. I saw those plastic models of food display, I decided to buy an ice-cream instead of a drink. The servers who are responsible to take orders in the cashier and make the crepes or do something instead of chatting with each other and playing on their own cellphone! I waited for 45 secs even 1 min until they looked at me! I ordered the soft green tea ice cream, it’s so good. Well… I would think twice to return to Mazazu Crêpe even though I’m craving for soft ice-cream.

I was craving for a nutella crêpe and found this place and it wasn’t what I expected, it was still very very good. First off, they don’t have nutella, not sure what crêpe place doesn’t have nutella but at least they sub with chocolate sauce. They have a huge display of plastic crêpe so makes ordering super easy, just tell them what number you want. I ordered the one with green tea and vanilla ice cream swirled together and there was a lot of ice cream in my crêpe. Then it was topped with strawberries and drizzled with chocolate sauce and squirts of homemade whip cream on the side. They have a wide selection of both savory and sweet crepes and everything is made in the to go form and not on a plate. Would definitely eat here again.

After trying many places for crepes, I must say that even iHop crepes taste better than this. First, although this MAY be a food court stall, it is still VERY important to be polite to your customers. I waited a good 10 minutes before the girl decided to stop doing her makeup and take my order. Not only that, her tone of voice was extremely rude, like I had owed her a million dollars. She also didn’t take her gloves off when she took my money, and then proceeded to use the same gloves while making the crêpe. DISGUSTING! She then took her sweet time putting together a whipped cream and chocolate syrup crêpe, she also ripped a giant hole in the crêpe that stuck to the paper wrap they used, and all the syrup started to leak out. The crêpe skin was also extremely rubbery and lumpy. VERY messy! I was recommended by a few friends who live in Richmond that their ice-cream was good, but what I got when I ordered a vanilla flavoured ice cream, was very similar to that of a milkshake. Super runny, makes me wonder if they keep their dairy at the right temperature. In the end I was extremely disappointed with Mazazu Crêpe’s crepes and services.

Crêpe ‘cone’ filled with soft serve ice cream, cheesecake, whipped cream and fresh strawberries? Helluva idea! Though I didn’t care much for the quality of the crêpe ‘cone’ itself, the innards were delicious. Gotta eat it fast before it drips. They also have savoury ones, but I think I’d stick with the sweets.

I can’t say that Mazazu’s Japanese crepes are so great that it is worth going specifically into the Aberdeen Center, especially with the heavy traffic of the parking garage. However, if you were already there for the H Mart or for Fisherman’s Terrace, then a stop at Mazazu Crêpe might be worth it if you plan on using your entire day’s worth of calories for a snack. An actual slice of cheesecake inside your crêpe that’s paired with ice cream and sugary fruit? Why don’t mind if I do.

normally i’m not that tough, and i try to be nice, but if someone asked me whether to go there, i honestly have to say no. True, it’s only a food court quality, so if you’re desperate, it’s fine i suppose. Ordered the brownie strawberry with that fake whipping cream, was just ok… i’d rather pay twice the amount for something like in DT! Waste of $ 4.96. located in Aberdeen Mall, top floor.

Marc D. basically said everything I want to say about this place. I love Japanese style crepes, but I was very disappointed by the actual crêpe that was handed to me. Most of it was filled with ice cream and was topped with only a few slices of strawberries. Ugh. And the girl at the counter seemed like she couldn’t be bothered. I stood there for a minute while she looked at her phone, until she finally noticed me. She seemed annoyed that someone actually stopped to buy something. And while I was waiting for my crêpe to be prepared, she took her sweet time and chatted with her colleague – and mind you, I was the only customer. Never again!

Unfortunately I will have to go on thinking about Sophie’s Crepes and Genki Crepes(both from SF) in my foodie-related dreams. The crepes were made fresh and very fast, which is nice, but I agree with other reviewers that the whipped cream had a very artificial taste to it, as did the large mochi balls inside. Perhaps it was just that the ball was all glutinous rice paste and without any flavouring on the insides? Also, the crepes were more soft, whereas the Japanese crepes I’ve had in SF were crispy, almost like eating a more delicate ice cream cone(if you happen to be getting one with ice cream in it). Not sure if I’ll be back, might just save up more money to make a trip back down the Bay Area.

This was my first time eating a savory crêpe. I decided on the tuna salad crêpe($ 4.11 with tax). I like how there are plastic replicas of the crepes — I’m a visual person. It was close to closing time so one of the workers had 2 friends near the cashier and they were chatting away. I understand it’s near the end of the shift but there are still hungry customers around *ahem.me* Besides from that, service was quick and nice. Since it was close to closing time, I went home before stuffing my face. However, after a short drive, my crêpe started to seep through the paper wrapper. As I started to eat more, I realized the tuna salad was the culprit. Also, since my crêpe was so thinly made, holes were developing in the middle my crêpe! It tasted great with the tuna salad, lettuce and mayo but it became a tittering, tottering mess. If the crêpe were made a little thicker like I’m used to at Café Crepes’ crepes, I don’t think I’d be playing Jenga with my food. Regardless, I enjoyed my first savory crêpe and will probably return since it’s one of the only places to get crepes in Richmond.
