We were craving hotpot and despite the high concentration of hotpot places in Richmond, this is the only place we could find that’s open for lunch. The place is very clean and the interior spacious and well decorated. This is an all-you-can-eat, for $ 17.95 a person and extra for condiments and soup. The soup base was delicious, particularly their specialty spicy ones, it really tasted just like the Sichuan hotpot in China. If you are not accustomed to how spicy it can be, ask for light spicy — it’s still tongue-numbing hot! We ordered a few orders of thin sliced fat beef, lamb, frog legs, fried tofu, quail eggs, enoki mushrooms, veggies and bean curds. They were all very fresh, with nice texture and delicious. Wish we had the time to try a few more hotpot places around here. But coming from the East coast, this is definitely the best Chinese hotpot I’ve had.
