I liked it better when it was big Al’s.
That being said this store is better than Coquitlam store.
Staff is friendly could be more selection, Prices are average except koi I found to be pricey for what you get the stuff they were calling grade A I have to question
Tried twice to get someone to call me back about light fixtures as well Coquitlam and never got a call so they went down a notch on my list of dealers. That bothers me
I found some items here that I couldn’t find in some of the local shops
I like the large display tanks that were carried over from the Big Al’s franchise.
They have branched in to other pet foods but didn’t seem to go all the way
I still pop in from time to time see if anything interesting is in.

My first time here and I’m amazed. Small sharks and a moray eel in a tank at the very back and I’m not at the Vancouver Aquarium?! COOL!!! I love this place. There’s the fish you see at your regular ol’ pet store and then there are the other varieties you may have never seen or heard of before. The front half of the store is a bit boring with most of the aquarium needs. Then there’s the seemingly unwelcoming, shady looking back half of the store you’re not sure you can step into with the lit tanks that becomes part of the whole fish browsing adventure. I must have been in there for almost an hour just mesmerized with all the fish. Got some frozen eats for my new pet and plant décor. Definitely returning here to check out the fish again. It’s almost like a visit to the aquarium but without admission!
