This restaurant has been closed for a year. Ugh! The menu looked good! Not sure how to remove this restaurant from the list of suggested ones? Oh… And I have to give it a star rating so… Sorry folks!

The honey lager is really good. The Ginger Beer is different, not sure I am a fan. both are local from Granville Island Brewery. The fish n chips was OK, good cod but the breading could have been crispier. The bartender was very friendly and gave suggestions on what to see while in town, so that was nice

We are staying at the hotel that houses the pub, so we decided to have dinner there tonight. It’s small, quaint, nicely furnished. The prices are very high, but the food was tasty. I had Shepards Pie, and my husband had a Burger. Both of us were happy with our meals, only complaints is the service was slow and too expensive. Plus they were sold out of prime rib, and it was only 630pm.

Lucky find. My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express before a morning flight from Vancouver, and at 8PM were hungry. This restaurant was suggested by the front desk staff. The food was really good. I started with the best Martini I have had in years, and followed up with a Steak and Kidney Pie which was delicious. My wife had a hamburger, and should have ordered it rare rather than not specifying how it was to be cooked. But it wasn’t bad. We shared a piece of Chocolate Cake for dessert, and it was quite good. We sat in the pub area, which was a bit dim for a restaurant but would be good to sit and eat and drink. The portions are fine, the prices are reasonable, and the service was excellent. We would return again if we were staying at YVR before or after a flight.
