Like someone else said, it isn’t easy to find decent food at the Airports but Canucks Bar and Grill is a pleasant surprise. We had breakfast. 1 Eggs Bennedict and 1 game day scrambled with water and coffees The food was quite decent. The seats roomy and the server who was very attentive and cheerful. Her name on the bill is Queenie. She was the Best! So we scored all the way around.

It’s an airport eatery, usually dangerous territory for positive Unilocal reviews. I found the Canucks Bar & Grill to be quite serviceable despite being the only spot open in the terminal. I was able to relax, recharge my phone, eat a good burger and have a cold beer while waiting for my flight — how bad does that sound, eh? The guy at the bar was excellent(I think he’s called a bartender, actually.) Very good service, friendly and warm. I liked the place… not bad for an airport restaurant. Order wisely — basic foods probably turn out pretty good. Stuff that sounds high-end are more-than-likely a gamble. 3 solid stars(even though I’m a Sharks fan!)

Edible but not a good representation of what Canada has to offer. Burger king might be a better choice.

It was nice to discover a bar about ten feet from my boarding area. I didn’t have a chance to try the food. The beer selections were a Canadian Red(Rickards), Molson Canadian(yes it tastes different than what we get in the U.S. — theirs has more body and more hoppy notes imo) and Stella on tap(they may have had some of the usual American macro suspects but I glossed over them). The beer prices were OK for an airport but it seems that hard alcohol goes for a premium. It’s a nice place to grab a pre-flight beer(or slam a double while running from flight to flight as one patron did).

My friend and I went to eat at Canuck’s this morning. We requested a booth(several were available) due to my friend’s severe neck /back injury. We were told no as the booths were for larger parties(more than 2). I am disgusted that a manager would do this to a disabled person and I recommend not supporting this establishment.

The food is mediocre– I would say a 2.5 for airport food. But I am giving them 1 because I think it is an awful send off for tourists(I laughed out loud) when I got my bill and went to pay and he 3 options for too are 18−20−22%. I spend a lot of time in very nice restaurants with career waters that are spectacular. This is like a mediocre white spot and they are saying they deserve 22%. Ridiculous. I am all for giving a big tip of the waiter/waitress goes above and beyond– but I have never seen 22% as the set amount and I think that is absurd.

This was our last chance for some poutine and salmon before you leave Vancouver. The place is in the US terminal and is decked out with Canuck memorabilia and décor, hence their restaurant name. I just wanted to sit down and eat something before our flight that wasn’t fast food. They have a good beer selection and there are sports games on the screens if you’re a sports fan. We had a Cesar, some poutine and salmon before heading home. The Cesar was strong and the food was good. The service was a bit slow. The waiter took a long time to come and take out order and bringing the food. Luckily the place wasn’t that busy or it would have taken longer. I would come back as long as I had at least an hour before my flight.

Nothing great. Have a decent beer selection and games on. Food is awful and it’s quite expensive for what it is.

Wow just wow… truly a new low for the Vancouver burger. Burger King next door has a better burger than this 17 $ tragedy. I wasnt expecting much, I know an airport but really? Kill me just kill me. and this place is packed… c’mon Vancouver, why do you settle for terrible food. One star for actually really good service.

Stopped by for a quick meal. Took forever for server to get to us(it wasn’t very busy and they had adequate staffing) and he avoided eye contact with us. When he did get to us, he seemed pretty put off about having to do his job. I’ve not gotten my food yet, and I’m not holding my breath that it will get here before my flight. My advice… skip this place.

Someone needs to tell the employees that they work in an airport. There was no sense of urgency. I had a good burger but almost missed my flight. It shouldn’t take an hour for lunch in an airport.

Last time I was here I witnessed a server scream at another server and at the manager and then get fired. Not only was I embarrassed for everyone sitting at the bar watching this, The show wasn’t even worth the mediocre food. Hollandaise tasted like that powered camping crap.

They close at 7 which they didn’t mention to us when we were seated a quarter til 7. So by 7:10, they rushed the bill over right after our food was served and asked that we pay immediately. We were then rushed to finish our food so they can close down… very rude in their part!

I came here with my best friend to get a drink and something before we headed off, however, service was slow, they messed up our order. They did apologize for it, however, it seemed half assed and was un-genuine. Food was nothing to write home about. The only reason why I am suspecting that it was busy is ’cause of convenience and location, otherwise this place has very little going for it.

Not the best, but not the worst. If you want something better than mediocre fast food, then there are only two options, this or Vino Volo. I didn’t feel like Vino Volo, so I went here. It was really crowded, but my server was quite efficient, he kept my drink full. The burger was nothing special.

Lots of booths here. Service was pretty slow. Waitress was friendly. Food was okay, i had the burger. It was cooked well but cold. Prices are not too pricey for an airport. It beats eating in a food court.

I usually experience a mixture of giggling and sadness whenever I walk by this place when I’m passing through YVR. A Canucks themed lounge in an airport? It’s the perfect mixture of funny and a little pathetic. However, my friend and I were flying YEG-YVR-PDX, walked all the way to the US departures area and didn’t want to backtrack for food. I had some kind of turkey sandwich with yam fries, and my friend had a Portobello mushroom burger(I believe). My sandwich was a lot better than expected. The fries were great and I loved the dip. Our server didn’t even look like he was old enough to be working in a lounge, but he was polite and friendly. All in all, not a terrible place by airport food standards!

I don’t normally review airport food, because it’s airport food. For Canucks I make an exception: we shared chicken wings. I almost threw up, as the breading tasted like rotting fish. Perhaps time to change your fry oil?
