Very nice Chinese restaurant. Fast service, very good food. At least once a week we are getting a take out or delivery. Very reasonably priced. Recommend it!

This restaurant has been around for a while now. I have been here maybe less than a dozen times. However, last night I came here for dinner with my family because they said the lobster here was well priced and was pretty good. Initially when you walk in, it looks like a run down chinese restaurant(which actually makes it look a little more authentic) The tables are old, the chairs are old, the walls look dirty. but if you’re going for Chinese food, you don’t really care THAT much about it. at least that is what I have come to learn. So we ended up ordering a soup, lobster with noodles, signature chicken with garlic and onions, dried scallop and egg white fried rice, and a dish of pea tip greens. All these dishes ranged from 13 – 17 dollars with the Lobster actually being the cheap compared to other restaurants. It’s about under 20 bucks a lb vs other places being anywhere from 25 – 30. The soup was not bad, a little bit bland but overall I wouldn’t say it was bad. The Lobster with noodles was delicious but it was pretty greasy because they deep fry the lobster. not sure why. The chicken with garlic came with TONS of garlic and green onions and this dish was DELICOUS. I have a picture of it as well. The fried rice was your typical, still good and the pea tips were also delicious as yet again it had a lot of garlic on it. Overall, the experience wasn’t bad. I wouldn’t say it was amazing but I was definitely full after. the only negative thing was I felt gross after eating so much, especially with the amount of grease. but it’s thats Chinese food for ya! One of my favorite Chinese restaurant around Port Moody and Port Coquitlam. Food is very good and big portion. You will have left over for next day.

Great place. Good Chinese food and quick service. They always are fantastic with our kids. The Dim Sum is excellent and often a Sunday afternoon tradition for us.

Family favorite for years. Not greasy at all! Good ‘ol fashion Chinese food that you can count on. Very affordable, big portions. Almond chicken is so tasty with the perfect amount of deep fried crust. Delivery is always prompt. Fresh crab in black bean sauce is the best. Pick a Live Lobster from the tank and have it prepared fresh for you.

After living in Toronto for 20 years, I really missed good, authentic Chinese food. Had an amazingly comforting chicken congee, incredibly fresh and delectable sio mai and the Singapore noodle with the outstanding BBQ pork was a great way to reunite my taste buds to the wonderful Chinese food of the west coast.

Pretty interesting read of all of the past reviews, mine being the only four stars. A bit of history. This restaurant was next to Lougheed Mall until that strip mall was torn down for high rise condos. I followed them to Port Moody. A lot of the comments are valid. What makes me a regular is I know which dishes to order that I like and I don’t worry about the décor and inconsistent service. I also never never go during rush hour, as it is understaffed most of the time. The ginger and green onion crab is one of the best I have tasted anywhere. Prices have gone up but still reasonable. Portions are good and taste is consistent. I see a lot of non Asians there all the time so it is not an issue. Dim sum selection is small, not someplace you would typically go of the traditional dim sum. Again, if you know the dish and you love it, that is all that matters.

Lived in the area for a number of years, saw the place but always passed it by because of dated 80’s look(yellowing net curtains) Went there one day recently. Interior is 80’s Chinese restaurant. Service is prompt and the place was bustling on a Friday night! A food variety of Asian and non Asian customers. Food was tasty, plentiful for the price which was reasonable. Asked about Wonton soup, they have nothing special, I passed. Overall, good food at a fair price. Will be tearing their dim sum soon!

Good taste. good service. For dim sum, not as good as Kirin but cheaper, not as good as Yan’s garden with similar price but closer to where I live now.

Surprisingly, I’m happy that their menu offerings are smaller than your average Chinese take out place. My parents suggested the usual take out idea on a recent visit, and I obliged. I don’t remember the last time I got delivery from somewhere, anywhere. ½ hour after we placed our call, our food arrived, more or less piping hot. Honey garlic spareribs, beef, green beans and black bean sauce(subbing chicken for beef) and chicken chow mein were our picks. The honey garlic ribs were my favourite — they were on the bone, which mean way less fat than those boneless ones that are all the rage and the green beans were crispy yet saucy. I have to admit I was unimpressed with the chow mein. It was dry and had barely a speck of chicken, veggies or anything else that you would assume would come on chow mein. But my folks liked that dish, so perhaps it’s just my own discerning tastes that had me turning my nose up. All in all though, I’d order from them again!
