Chi-Cheemaun Ferry

The Chi-​Cheemaun was so much fun! We took the 2-​hour trip from South Baymouth to Tobermory. We had a wonderful time aboard the «Big Canoe»: drove our car right onto the ferry and then were able to enjoy some free time to ourselves and the views from the upper decks. The views were absolutely beautiful. There’s also a snack stand where you can buy small meals or snacks, and a gift shop to browse.
To bring your vehicle aboard will run about C$ 35 — a really great deal, in my opinion. Not only is the price really affordable to begin with, but Chi-​Cheemaun offers 10% discounts for «fuel-​efficient» cars!!! And they’re not just talkin’ hybrids, folks, but small vehicles like Mini Coopers, Honda Fits, VW Jettas! A complete list is available at their website. The website, by the way, is really user-​friendly and easily navigated. Use it to purchase your tickets in advance, and your trip will be even smoother sailing!
We loved our experience, thought the landscape was spectacular, and it was an easy, fun way to travel. What a wonderful trip!
