Rexall Pharmaplus

Unfortunately, I’ve had to drop by this location a whole lot recently due to a sick boyfriend. This is a fairly new pharmacy, and I find it really convenient (even though it lives on the dreaded Merivale Road!) since it’s attached to an Appletree Walk-​In Clinic and a Family Physiotherapy Centre. Genius. Anyway, I normally don’t frequent other pharmacies (I felt like I was cheating on my lovely pharmacist!), but the pharmacist here is AMAZING. Her name is Sam, and she’s so thoughtful and incredibly helpful.
After we received a prescription for an unfamiliar medication that didn’t seem like it was the right thing to prescribe (umm…we google stuff a lot), the pharmacist confirmed our suspicions, and told us she would call the doctor to have it switched to something else. We came back the next day, and she had walked it over the the clinic. They never got back to her, but when she saw us, she actually talked to the (different) doctor on staff and suggested an alternative. Amazing.
We never have to wait longer that 15 minutes for our prescription, and Sam is always careful to explain everything to us. She’s also really funny and sweet.
As I mentioned in my other pharmacy reviews, I think a good pharmacist is key, especially when you’re at walk-​in clinics and the doctors aren’t always the most attentive. I’d give this place five stars, but the rest of the store is kind of untidy, and they don’t have as big of a selection as my normal pharmacy. However, I will always come here if we’re at the clinic, simply for the stellar service.
