I love eating breakfast at restaurants. I moved to Ottawa from Montréal in July of 2015. I immediately set out to find a local restaurant that could satisfy my breakfast urges. I discovered that this location was the closest to where I lived, both by car and by bike. 10 months later, I am still frequenting this establishment. I go there every two or three days. The food is always great. The servers are personable and I have developed friendly relationships with a number of them. Saturdays and Sundays often sees the place being very busy with line-ups, but I have never been inconvenienced yet. The trick is to go after 1PM on the weekends and I have never had to wait for too long. I recommend giving this location a try.

Verdict: Kudos to the fruit selection guy, because it’s fresh and spectacular! A quick review for today. I have been to Coras a couple of times now, and the breakfasts are wonderful if you are into a good variety of fresh fruits. This time I ordered the buckwheat crêpe sausages with a «mound» of fresh fruit, and I must say there was a deceivingly large portion of fruit on the plate. The presentation was great, and the fruit was very tasty and fresh. The restaurant also offers services in both English and French, which is a bonus for all. If you’re looking for a «9 egg everything deepfried hungry man breakfast», this isn’t the place for you. However, if you’re looking for a healthier alternative, give this place a spin. You won’t regret it.

I have been at Cora with my family multiple times. They deliver a consistent and very good breakfast and lunch experience. Some things could be better but generally this is probably the best place when you’re looking for a large variety of breakfast choices. I like also that they put tons of fresh fruit in most of their dishes as it is very healthy and a good thing for kids. Great omelettets and potatoes too! I would definitely go back and would recommend this restaurant with no esitation.

The food is good. It’s not amazing but it’s not mediocre either. The portions are quite generous, you are sure to leave feeling full. There are a lot of choices on the menu. The service is efficient, the plates are served quickly. The staff is very friendly. I did not appreciate the fact that they charge extra for syrup, especially considering the prices… It’s beggarly. It’s a great place to go for a tasty breakfast or brunch, given the fact that it’s on your way.

I asked for the simplest meal of eggs and bacon and toast that was actually hard to find on the menu. My eggs were properly done and the toast was fine. But I don’t like huge meals. I find the food nicely displayed but servings are too big and encourages overeating. I would be happier if they had lighter choices and half portions. Service was slow. Grandkids were getting tired and hungry though they provided paper and crayons for them. I just don’t like the long line ups and the sheer overeating. I find it expensive too for just breakfast.

Very good service and great quality brunch. Amazing speed on food prep and always suprised on what they served. Food is fresh, delicious, and well-décor. Will drive another 10min from Rideau to this place for breakfast.

I love this location. I always order eggs Benedict with Brie and mushrooms(eggs poached hard) and I’m always satisfied with my order. The hollandaise sauce is creamy and delicious! The staff is friendly and the place is always busy — which is always a good sign !

Frui-tastic! I must say I was overly impressed w/not only the fruit that you get but the quality and the freshness really stood out for this meal. This is your non typical American breakfast joint. Forget about the hashbrowns at this joint and bring on the fruit. Maybe the Canadians are actually on to something w/obessity in the States! ;-) Besides the fresh fruit the menu basically offers anything made w/crepes. Excuse my French, I mean creperies! Thin, airy, and tasty these were something to keep me coming back for. No complaints here and make this your breakfast joint while in town!

Having breakfast at Cora is always a treat. The extensive menu provides tons of options, from a regular ‘staple’ breakfast to new flavors, decadent treats and healthy options. The names of the items are also catchy and enticing. All Coras are decorated in a similar fashion, with farm animals displayed and chicken in wooden crates perched around the restaurant. The athosphere is always joyful at this location and I have had professional and friendly service here. I even had a young lady serve a group of us one morning that was so cheerful we had a blast trying to figure how she stayed so happy through her shift! So — try this place, or any Cora, and you’ll get a chance to experience a little bit of breakfast heaven. And if you’re not into it, they also have mouth watering lunch options available for you!

Cora’s food is delicious! In fact, this Cora’s is the place I decided to visit with my bridesmaids the morning before I got married. Like any bride, I was still working on things for the wedding last minute that morning, and while I munched on my bagel, I was also putting together boutineers for the men in our wedding party. Realizing I was two sunflowers short, I asked our waitress if I could snip some sunflowers from one of their plastic flower arrangements. The friendly waitress hopped up on a chair herself and brought the flowers to me, saving the day. So while Cora’s food is amazing, I can’t say enough about their even more amazing staff! Thanks Cora’s St. Laurent! (Also, if you’re a fan of chocolate and bananna, their«Bananna Blast» crêpe can’t be missed!)

My wife and I are currently on a quest for the best breakfast in Ottawa. Friends here told us that we HAD to try Cora’s. Although it is kind of a chain, we relented because so many people told us that it was the place for breakfast. In fact, it isn’t even open for dinner, so that told us alot about their focus on the most important meal of the day! Now, Cora herself was a gourmet chef from Quebec. Her food is pricey(breakfast for two will set you back about $ 30) but it is DEVINE! The food is everything on the breakfast spectrum: eggs, bacon, ham, waffles, fresh fresh fruit, coffee, fresh-squeezed juices… MMMM!!! If you are looking for treat to kickstart your morning, you must go to Cora’s. Ignore the prices — it is totally worth it!!!
