2 Guys with a Truck

I have used this moving company twice before this last move 2 weeks ago. Wow! what a difference this time. I called them in good time to book the move, so on the day of the move they were right on time in fact a bit early, and that was ok.
my grandson, his wife, my granddaughter and my daughter all came to help me. Good thing they did, because half way through the move out the guys that were moving me informed me they had another move at 1pm, they were not even half finished. They had the smallest truck I guess they owned, so filled up very fast, they did one load and left the rest of my stuff in the apt.bld.lobby.Thank heavens my grandson had a pick up. It took him 6 loads to move the rest of my belongings to the new place, and my granddaughter took the rest in her car. This to me is not acceptable. What would have happened if I had not had people to help me. I have called 2 guys and a truck and was told the owner would call me back, that was two weeks ago have not heard a thing from them. Oh yes also they lost a drawer out of one of my bedside tables, broke my dining room table. Will I recommend this company again? NO! Unless I get a call back from them, and for them to explain to me how this could happen!

Most moving companies you call have a message machine, and you are in waiting limbo hell hoping you’ll hear back (you never will). Other companies you call and get a guy with a cell phone. I was calling on Thursday for a Monday move and i went down the Unilocal list of companies in my area. At least three out of 8 laughed me off the phone. Another 4 never answered the message i left, and the last one i called had rates that were exorbitant. So i thought I was out of luck. Until i remembered seeing TWO GUYS WITH A TRUCK in my neighborhood a few weeks ago! Called them, and got an actual human who was able to inform me of their availability, rates and answered every question i could have had (do they have moving pads, are you insured, when do the hourly rates start etc…). Seriously amazeballs. So i was able to secure 2 guys with a truck for that monday.
Come Monday, it was literally 3 minutes past when they said they would show up, and we got a call to let us know that they were 5 minutes away and apologized for their tardiness and inconvenience. I don’t know if you’ve ever read other reviews of moving companies, but most just leave you waiting and never call to let you know they’ll be right there. Sure enough, the crew shows up, specifically two polite, courteous, and amazingly talented guys in Zack and Moe and start right on it. I had just furniture in my apartment and they made short work of it, carefully handling furniture and baby gear that was scattered throughout the place. they took care of my two beat ikea couches like they were the finest pieces of furniture they have ever touched. I was truly amazed at what a good job they did loading up! While loading, they offered to take a rocking chair last so that i could sit somewhere while holding my 7 month old! Unbelievably nice! During the unload they offered to take their shoes off at my brand new apartment! they brought out my sons high chair first so that I could put him down. It’s not just courtesy, but the politeness and thoughtfullness they put into helping me move was just astounding! they also offered to bring the bed frame in before the matteress to that we could put it together and get the bed in place! Honestly, i felt great that i could give these guys my business and i do it again and again and again. they took the awful out of moving. just give em a call!
