We dined at the bistro, where we enjoyed a very affordable and tasty meal. It took a bit of time to be served, but it was worth the wait! Lovely to be able to dine with a view of the Vineyard in the distance!

I did a 4 course pairing and they asked what are my food preference and I mentioned seafood. Table next to me returned their duck dish complaining about the taste and dryness. Kid you not they took that plate to the kitchen and less than 5min they dropped off the«duck dish». Now, I like duck but no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t even eat. It had a rancid smell to it and very dry. When I complained to the waitress about the dish and the fact I asked for seafood, they did nothing about it. Also, the place is crawling with flies. This place tries but fails at food and service.

My husband and I went for the wine tour. We had such a great time and their ice wine room is awesome! Such a great experience and beautiful grounds.

We came to the Peller Estate Winery restaurant for dinner one day last week. Our reservation was for 8:30 but they were able to seat us early when we got there at 8. The restaurant and winery are both beautiful. They had strings of lights on their trees, so it looked like a pretty fairyland. Our server was extremely friendly and helpful. She was a pleasure to speak with. I ordered the chicken paprikash and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken breast was so succulent(many restaurants overcook chicken breast; they did not!) and the sides all went so well with the chicken. You might be expecting a traditional paprikash with a rich sauce over the chicken, but this was more of a deconstructed version with a tangy sweet pepper(light pickle/chutney) served on the side. The fresh bread they served at the start was a very generous three different types of bread and there was a slice of each different type of bread for all four of us. We all thought this was one of our best dining experiences of the week.

Only did a tasting that was $ 7 for 4, 1 ounce samples. Also this was rebated if you purchased a bottle. The staff was extremely nice and attentive. Beautiful property.

Some nice hits and a huge miss for me. We loved the cold garden soup as it was very fresh and tasty. I must say that any restaurant that chooses to dust french fries with powder sugar is doing a huge disservice to its customers and to the ingredient itself. At first we thought it was sweet potato fries but when we asked the service they shared with us the horrify information.

Great wines and love the spacious bar area, where they also display shop items. The tasting bar service is mediocre, given the vast amount of customers, but their service at their restaurant had been excellent for us in the past. The restaurant serves tasty/fancy food, but very much on the expensive side. We come to this winery specifically for their cab-franc ice wine, which I believe is the best in town. The gorgeous mansion is spectacular to dine in as well.

I was here a few years ago to try their restaurant that was part of the vineyard. I absolutely love this place. The restaurant overlooks the vineyard that creates a French winery environment. That’s a plus cause I brought my camera with me that day. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. It wasn’t busy that day, it was a weekday in the summer. So we were seated quickly. The server showed us the lunch menu, which consists of a handful of appetizer, entrees and dessert. This is what I prefer from a classy place, as it allows the chef not to over diversify and focus on these offerings. Onto the actual food. I ordered a slow roasted beef brisket steak with baked mash potatoes. My family ordered fish. When my food came out, I was about to ask for a steak knife, and the server assured me I didn’t need it at all. She is good, she knows the food very well where I didn’t need that steak knife. The brisket steak was cooked to perfection where all I needed was my fork. The taste was excellent. After many years had lapsed, I still remember the taste. The salmon came in a tart and according to my family, it was spot on. Flavour was excellent, not overpowering the fish. Also the server recommended a dry chardonnay, which my dad had ordered and it paired really well with the fish. The experience I had here was superb and I always wanted to come back. The only down side is the distance. But knowing there’s great cooking that awaits. I am willing to drive again to the restaurant at Peller Estates.

This was, by far, my favorite part of visiting Niagara on the Lake! We had a voucher for the free tour, and it was incredible! Our group was small, and our guide was so knowledgable. She shared about the wine making process, and the four tastings were at different locations around the winery(on the patio, in the vineyard, in the barrel cellar, and in the ice room). Not only was the ice wine DELICIOUS, but the ice room was incredible neat! A beautiful winery, delicious wines, and an educational/interesting wine tour… Peller Estates was definitely worth our time.

A bit on the pricy side but the food and wine were both good at the dining room. The Service was acceptable too. The place is magnificent and good for weekend getaway.

Fuimos a la charla del viñedo de hielo. Rapido y buen servicio. La pasamos muy bien dentro de la nevera de hielo donde probamos tres diferentes deliciosos vinos. El lugar es hermoso en los exteriores y en el interior.

This review is strictly based on the customer service that I received during my recent visit to the winery. Some wines were good and if our sommelier was a bit nicer and not so anti-america I am sure I would have enjoyed them. Her pretentious attitude ruined my winery experience in Canada. Being new to the wine world and from Virginia with sweet wines and non existent ice wines I of course was going to ask questions about their ice wine and how it came about. Every question my group asked she responded with a witty and dry humored response. That’s fine if you are socializing with a group of friends or colleagues… or people you know, but not when tourists are there to enjoy themselves on what is supposed to be a relaxing winery tour. Overall this could have been a pleasant experience with better service to their customers. Very disappointed!

We went to the christmas lounge for a date, unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The pear and blue cheese salad was bland and just had no flavour. The fries for the poutine were over cooked and the gravy was sticky. The burger and pulled pork sandwich were the best part of the meal but that doesn’t justify the price.

Peller is exactly what a visit to wine country should not be. Upon arrival, you realize that you’re in the tackiest of buildings… a McMansion in wine country that looks like it belongs on the Bridle Path. We had a coupon for a free tour(which is normally an absurd $ 15 per person). The tour guide could not have been more bored or unenthusiastic. The poor overworked Tim Horton’s employees seem more excited to be there than she did. The tour consisted of 4 stops and 4 tastings of wine. Let’s just say, the spit bucket is a useful option for the«VQA» samples. I have to stop and rant and note the VQA is solely a marketing term made up to sell you crappy wine by the large producers in Ontario. It means absolutely nothing. The final stop of the tour is the only reason it gets one star. It’s gimmicky but was kind of entertaining. An ice bar kept at –10 degrees to enjoy ice wine. Everyone dons a warm coat and gloves and enters for their ice wine taste. The ice wine belongs into the syrupy and overly sweet category. Overall, the winery is tacky, the wine is one step above swill or just plain swill, and the tour is one of the worst I’ve been on. Under no circumstances should you pay for this tour. You’ve been warned. Instead, talk to people and find out and about the cute and charming wineries where they actually make good wine and visit them instead.

Stopped by here since we had some time to spare — $ 15 tour — a bit pricey compared to the other wineries in the region — $ 7 for one flight(three tastings) — do this! Totally worth it if you want to buy a bottle b/c they rebate back one flight and this goes for every bottle you buy with each flight — If you want to do the tastings I recommend going in November — barely anyone there so you don’t have to feel rushed or ignored by the staff — Beautiful — absolutely stunning

I don’t usually write many reviews. But the team at Peller was just so amazing that I had to share! I had planned a 40th Birthday Party for my husband at Peller. From the very first minute we got there, I could see that everything was ready. We were greeted by the manage and one of the waitress. The service and staff was just amazing. They lead us to the beautiful dinning area in the cellar. It absolutely took everyone’s breath away. I think no one could believe that we were about to have dinner there. The menus looked perfect and cellar was the perfect temperature. And then we were lead to the great big double door entrance where we had arranged an areal act with champagne pouring as part of the event. It was all set up with the bottles of bubbly. The sun was setting behind them and the areal act could have looked more spectacular. Along with the sabrage was just over the top! The Chef has out done himself with dinner! Everyone loved the beet addition in the starter and meat was just perfect. We had the Sauvignon Blanc«Private Reserve» 2013, which was much loved by all and the Baco Noir«Private Reserve» 2013, which was perfect for red lovers. Lastly, the ice room experience was just the best way to end dinner! They had prepared all the jackets and gloves. And we got to go in groups of 12 in to the very beautiful ice bar to sample their Late Harvest Vidal. It definitely was one of the highlights of the night. I highly recommend working with Peller if you are looking to create a special, memorable event.

Wine tour is great but it’s more awesome with the right tour guide. The new TENBELOW ice wine room is pretty cool and definitely different then most wineries in the area.

The meal started with no staff at the podium, then a 10 minute wait for the drink order — not good. It also was not very busy. The outdoor seating area is fantastic, with a great view of the winery. On a sunny afternoon it seemed like a great place to be, so the wait was easier to bear. Drink menu is heavily wine based(who’d have guessed!) but also had some beers. One party member had a hard time getting a non-alcoholic drink however(they were out) We ordered a poutine and chilled aspargus soup for apps, and pizza and a veggie sandwich for the main. All came to the table at the same time. The poutine was really very good, and the chilled aspargus soup was excellent. That was the high point. The pizza was poor bordering on terrible. The crust was cool and soft(not a crispy bit to be found) and one was fairly burnt. The tomato sauce was a bit spicy but otherwise lacked flavour. The cheese was tasteless and had no stretch to it at all. Toppings were cool and bland. The sausage pizza for example had thin-sliced sausage, which made no sense paired with thin-sliced prosciutto. Service was overall polite, and seemed aware of the food issues. Another table was asked why no one had finished their meal. This level of food might be okay at a pub or strip mall restaurant, but at an estate with an executive chef I expect more.

Out of the three Niagara on the Lake wineries we visited Peller was my favorite. Peller like the other older estate style wineries in the area is located in an immaculate large building surrounded by a sea of vines. The outdoor patio has a stunning view of the vineyard and a great place to relax. Peller is a family business, and 50 yrs ago their grandfather toasted the first vintage of Peller wine. The best way to experience Peller is to come prepared, as it is crazy busy and swarming with people. Book in advance your visit online. For a more informative and intimate experience reserve spots in a couple of tasting experiences(tours or taste pairings). Also, definitely reserve a spot for dinner to eat at their award winning fine dining restaurant. With reservations in hand, we experienced a well organized and enjoyable trip here. The Ice Wine pairing we reserved was incredible, and I highly recommend it. It provided information on the history of ice wine and how it is produced. Before the class I always thought of Ice Wine as just a dessert wine, but they paired their different Ice Wine’s with some surprising things like oysters. Their ice wine selections here are crisp, well balanced, and delicious. The tasting room itself is a sea of people and chaotic to maneuver through. I liked that they had some individual sized ice wines to take back home with you. This was easy to pack in my luggage, and a bit more affordable to get a variety. I was sad to learn that if you live outside Canada you can’t join the wine club membership. The dinner we had at the restaurant was phenomenal. One of the best food and wine experiences I have had. The restaurant winemaker is Katie Dickieson, and the chef is Jason Parsons. They have a menu of items to select from, or you can select a chef’s choice 5 course dinner, and have that paired with wine. If you are coming all this way for a meal, trust the chef, he does it right, I think it is the best way to go. They even were able to accommodate for our food allergies. The food was delicious, and well paired with the wine. The wine pairing highlights the strength of their dry wines. The service was incredible. Overall Peller has much to offer, I found their dry wines to be good as well as their Ice Wine offerings.

Uma descoberta fantástica. Se puder visitar somente uma vinícola da região, não se arrependerà desta. Prove o gewurztraminer seco. Excelente.
