Love this little piece of history and their afternoon tea house. The house tour was awesome, too. I did not know tea was such a luxury item! Drive or bike around Niagara on the Lake area after visiting the house. The whole area is beautiful!

Outstanding spot for lunch. We wanted to escape the touristy area at Niagara and went there for lunch with our 7 year old and 4 year old daughters. We all had a great time. The finger sandwiches and sweets along with the tea was a unique and fun experience.

Situated along the bike trail of the Niagara River Parkway, The McFarland House is a Historically Protected site which doubles as the finest tea room in Niagara-On-The-Lake. As a local I have spent many Sunday Afternoons in the tea room sipping the worlds Finest Teas and eating scones served with bowls of tasty jams and whipped cream. The only reason I can’t give my favorite Tea Room 5 stars is that very often a reservation is required simply to get a seat. However if you know you are going to be in Niagara On The Lake for a day or two then I would highly recommend making reservations at The McFarland House!
