Very friendly staff and authentic pub feel inside. A great beer collection available and was a great spot for our family of six. They had fish and chips on special so we had a few of those and they were fantastic. We also tried the sausage sandwich and it was flavorful especially paired with a few craft beers. Jalapeño poppers were awesome. There is a park across the street to let the kids burn off steam after. Overall our experience in this quaint little city after the chaos of the falls is just what we all needed. After dinner we drove to the lake and hung out on the huge boulders to watch sunset.

We stopped here on a Friday afternoon after walking along the main drag of shoppes. Read the menu outside, which sounded good so we decided to eat here. Quiet inside with no loud music or blaring TVs which was nice for conversation. I was a little disappointed that food specials did not start until 4pm. My boyfriend ordered the chicken Caesar salad(charged an extra $ 5 for the chicken which was only one small breast cut atop the greens), but he said it was very tasty. He ordered the honey lager to compliment his dish which he enjoyed. I ordered the club wrap with a side salad which was very flavorful. Our server, Julia, was very pleasant and helpful. Inside décor was very pub-ish and reminded us of the show Cheers! Would recommend to a friend for a good bit to eat.

I really liked this place — authentic looking little British pub under street level next to the Moffat Inn with a great atmosphere and good service. I later found out the food is supposed to be excellent here, so I’m sorry we had already eaten lunch when we visited this place. The only disappointment here was the first beer we tried. Whatever happened to Canadian beer? I remember Moosehead back in the ‘80s as being pretty good, but now it tastes just like any mass produced, watered-down piss-beer you can get back in the States. Luckily, they also had Guinness, Stella Artois, Sam Adams, and even Pabst Blue Ribbon on tap.(Not that PBS is one of our favorites, but it was kind of nice to find a blast of home in a Canadian bar.) We’ll definitely come back to Coach and Horses, and next time we’ll try the food!

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. It is not large place and it is below street level. The atmosphere was great, the staff friendly and on the spot(great Welsh bartender), the food was good. Restrooms were spotless. We will be back next year!

After spending the afternoon at Fort George, my husband and I stopped at the Coach & Horses Pub on our way back to the hotel. After spending hours walking around in the sun, my dark rum and coke tasted good! Gord had an ale from Niagara College. We were a bit hungry so ordered some toasted naan and red pepper humus. Yum! Kateri was our server and she was very friendly! We had stopped in six years ago found this to be a snooty place. It’s been revamped and is much friendlier.
