It’s impossible to miss Simcoe Park, located right on the corner of King Street and Queen Street, and the park certainly lives up to this«royalty.» With a beautiful fountain and chlorinated wading pound for kids, green grass and well kept flower gardens, history plaques, statues, a small stage, playground, bathroom facilities and plenty of picnic tables, this park is missing NOTHING! If you have children, I highly recommend taking them for a «dip» in the shallow, wading pound. Breathe in a deeply near the yellow trumpet flowers or just admire the green spaces. If you’re looking to have a picnic, this is a PERFECT spot! Be warned, others also think it’s perfect, so picnic tables fill up quick during prime«lunching/tea» time. It’s also the perfect green space to take a little break from all the shopping along Queen Street. I highly recommend purchasing a bottle of wine from the LCBO store and cheese & bread from the Cheese Secrets shop, grab a picnic table and dig in! Best if shared with friends and family of course. This park truly represents in my mind all that is Niagara-on-the-Lake: beauty, fresh air, family and community. Such a special park, even if you’re just passing through.

Always amazing flowers! Great place to unwind, gets some nice photos and maybe even have a picnic. Right at the end of the main street between the clock tower and the SHAW festival, it is a great place to relax and let your kids run free. also has a nice toilet for those women who can’t hold their liquor. You know who you are! A must see spot if only to walk through to get to one of the other many great destinations around.
