Afghan Kabob

First thing first. Nice people and food was good.
Now the rest which is why i cant justify giving more than 1 star.
Their price is not cheap and tgey give very small portion of food. Chicken pieces are very small. For $ 10 yiu wil get salad, very small chicken/​beef pieces and a very thin naan.
I have been to numerous Afghan food places, but for the first time ever i felt being robbed at a restaurant.
To justify the high price of food, I would understand if the place was a little bigger and had some ambience to it. But no, the place is small, very small and is more or less a take out spot.
I do agree with some older review about small food portions and would recommend everyone to ask the restaurant about food portion before orderering and facing disappointment.

Super Afgan food in a tiny eatery. Foreigners eating there, so you know it’s legit. The 3 person family special ($ 35) fed our family of 4. Rice, salad, naan, and 3 kabob meats. Owner came out to make sure it was enough food. My toddlers killed their plates! So did I! Yum !

Terrible character. The person in charged made himself all righteous sleeping us how he is god fearing and goes 100s of miles to acquire halal meat rather than getting the meat from suppliers whom come in to the store to sell him halal meat. We ordered a tikka kabab and a sultan kabab for lunch. They have two options: lunch and dinner. Only difference is that rice is added for the dinner plate for four extra dollars. Which is ridiculous for the amount of rice they serve. Anyways when our food comes there is also rice on our plates. Keep in mind that the waitress wrote lunch specifically, so we thought that it was complementary, I mean it wasn’t like the rice was served in a separate bowl, trying to trick us into eating the rice to later get charged for it, but no it was mixed with our food. Once we go up to pay they charge us the dinner prices. I complain saying we ordered the lunch menu and point to the order slip. He first goes that «you got the rice, and rice is dinner menu» after I said I even specifically specified no rice and wanted the lunch menu, he goes on saying that because my uncle has an accent the waitress probably didn’t understand. It’s hilarious because i was the one who f*cking ordered the food. Basically he made any excuse to justify himself. Then he has the audacity to be all self-​righteous again going on swearing on god of how he is god loving and shit. Outrageous. Guys don’t go here, and if anyone still wants to go, I ask you let them know the bad review they now have.
By the way like the other review mentions, the food portions is EXTREMELY small. The kabab were the size of my pinky! And the prices are ridiculous.
Save yourself, appetite, and moods. Try Casablanca or the other halal places if halal is what you were looking for. Or even if your in the mood for kebabs and/​or afghan food.

Small portions, large prices and mediocre quality… Elderly gentleman serving us was nice.
