Ok I’m a fan of swiss chalet. Especially when I found out some locations have allergy fryers. Super awesome if you are allergic to gluten or fish. The chicken is awesome. Always is. The ribs are too but they are pricey so I don’t usually order them. The barrhaven location is great for pick up– but call and order ahead! It’s always busy at the pick up counter and you may still have to wait 10 mins after your pick up time.
One complaint and it’s not huge but erks me is the amount of fries I get. 90% off the time it’s less than what my husband gets. Why does the person in the regular fryer get more fries than me in the allergy fryer? Makes me feel a little ripped off.

The décor was very homey, lots of older items
all over the wall, Swiss chalet looks more like a diner, and relatively outdated. To be honest, I hate the décor.
Aside from that, we had an incredibly sweet waitress, she was very kind and prompt.
We all ordered quarter chicken dinners, and thought the food met our expectations.
I wouldn’t go to swiss chalet looking for an amazing meal, but if you’re hungry and want good food, this is the place to go. Chicken was fresh, and cooked well. Fries and mashed potatoes were great, and, as always, chalet dipping sauce was on point!
Prices also are very decent.

Dined here with a group of 8 family members, including my elderly great uncle. The staff were really awesome at helping him manœuvre his walker through the restaurant, and it’s always appreciated when staff take an extra bit of care, especially with the elderly.
Food, as usual at the Chalet was good and very consistent. Service was fast, and it was a very pleasant experience.

Good family oriented restaurant for lovers of rotisserie chicken and prices that wont break the bank. Their servers have bubbly personalities, service is prompt and efficient. The yam fries beats the offerings from more expensive restaurants.
