Specialties

Windmills is a sensory experience. With exceptional food, fine wine, evocative art and soothing music, we satisfy all the senses.

At Windmills, everything is made from scratch. We use fresh, local ingredients whenever possible to create our eclectic menu with a twist on old favorites cooked to order.

Popular for brunch, we provide the same level of quality to our dinner service. We also offer catering for all your events.

Our chef’s easel is your plate. Join us and delight your senses. Enjoy!

History

Established in 1984.

Windmills opened in 1984 as a small Dutch Specialty Food Shop, which prepared a small number of Dutch foods to sell along with Dutch packaged goods. The packaged goods failed, but the the homemade food was a hit and soon Windmills became a Café serving brunch/breakfast and lunch to great fanfare. In 1994 Windmills moved to it’s present location, bigger but not too big, 96 seats plus a 16 seat patio in the spring and summer, became licensed to serve alcohol and began serving dinner. A huge success from the moment it re-opened at the new location, Windmills has been pleasing locals and visitors for 30 years. The most common comment for first-time visitors is along the lines of being overly impressed, beyond their expectations, compares to more expensive restaurants they’ve been too.
