Prices too high, food not to good, and portions are really small. Also you have to pay for rice extra(3 $!)

Great service and very good food. Our order of garlic chicken, chicken tikka masala, paneer jalfrezzi and paneer saag came promptly and taste was great. I especially liked their tandoori roti which were of great taste. We finished with a kulfi was creamy and low on the sweet just the way we like. Place is generally good and not very hectic. They did not ask for spice level and the dishes were mild which my kids appreciated. Portions are small and side of rice is not served with entrees. If you like your entrees to be spicy, make sure you asked for it. We will visit again whenever in the area.

First time eating Indian food in Kingston, it was terrible. We grabbed the butter chicken with rice for take away, it added up to $ 23 and we though this would be enough for two people as a light dinner. Unfortunately not. The portions are laughable relative to the price and the chicken tastes abnormally sweet with a weird yellow tint to it. The portion was definitely not enough for even one person and tastes subpar.

The curry is more of English style Indian food. Chicken dishes are pretty bland, Tarka daal is really not tarka daal, it’s bland daal! From an Indian perspective I will say they have very good ambience, location, hospitality, but the food is not to the mark. However the mango lassi was good! Hence I rate them as 3 stars!

This has been my go to place for almost a decade. The first time my mom and I ate here we had stumbled on it by chance, and have been loyal weekly customers since that day. The food is AHmazing(I was once a picky eater and that butter chicken was life altering. I now enjoy everything from the samosas to the korma to the aloo gobi and I have never looked back). The service is wonderful, with warm, inviting faces that ensure you always feel welcome and well taken care of. They are worth the money for a night out or a date or even a «I just want comfort food» kind of day. I will keep coming back for many many more years to come!

Curry Original Great service, great food, wonderful atmosphere. Three different servers took my orders. One got the wine, another heard soup, and a third got the maim course order. They watch like hawks to ensure they provide the best possible service. Touch your wine glass and two people head to the bar, one to serve it up and the other to deliver. Lay your credit card on the table and someone appears to close out the order. They deliver the bill and make sure you know they will close the tab as quickly or slowly as you like.

Vegetarians view: Bangla rendition of indian dishes. To my surprise it was very flavorful though different from the usual. Pulao rice turned out to be plain rice. Breads were decent. So were paneer makhani(not on menu), daal and Bombay aloo. Good service. More a 3.5 than 4 and expensive.

This place is OK. The raitu was rather sweet, and the Naan 4 bucks, which seemed a bit dear.

Good Indian. We got Chicken Tika and Aloo Gohbi, which turns out to be the proper name for our potato and cauliflower recipe. Really pretty good. I would go back/

I love this place so much! The curry here is so delicious. When I go there I always order chicken vindaloo, it’s so hot but it’s addictive. One time I went there when I had a cold, I ate the curry from this restaurant and by the time I walked out of there I was feeling totally fine. Seriously amazing.

Great indian food! You really pay for quality and not quality. Definitely the best indian you can get in Kingston. It’s pricey and small portions. I wouldn’t recommend going if you’re starving or want to be conservative with money. Don’t get the butter chicken

We ate here with a group of 12, the service was great, and the food was good. I would avoid the butter chicken(its yellow) the waiter warned us that we may not like it, the chicken jalfrazee was good. We also had saag paneer and aloo gobi both of which were good.

Good? Yup. Excellent? Only sometimes. This place is very good, but overrated. What keeps me coming back is a consitantly positive experience, and an offering of ambience that’s greatly lacking in Kingston’s other Indian options. When it comes down to it, though, I’ll take a hole in the wall with devine food over high back chairs any day, so anything over three stars for this place is crazy talk. GOOD: Most of the menu. The warm chewy naan, always-delectable mango laasi, and an assortment of curries ALL hit the mark. COULDBEBETTER: The chicken vindaloo doesn’t quite reach that heavenly, ‘the flavors are incredible even though my face is melting’ sweet spot that I like to see in a good vindaloo. Not sure if it was too sour or too sweet, but the imbalance allowed the fierce heat to overwhelm the dish and resulted in a one-note flavour. At least it was proper spicy. On the opposite end of the spice spectrum we come to another letdown: the butter chicken. This is typically a sure-to-please, creamy dish that can be counted upon to convert Indian newbs into Indian enthusiasts. So when it failed to wow my friend, I insisted on having a bite. To my horror she was right – my mouth did not water. For shame. OUTSTANDING: The lamb korma is off the charts delicious. I usually find korma too sweet and too mild, and I’m not even a lamb fan – but when the meat is melt-in-your mouth-tender, and every ingredient sings in your mouth, I won’t just hop on the bandwagon – I’ll drive the freaking thing! The wait staff is excellent and generally goes above and beyond if you ask the right questions(complimentary desserts have always been provided to us on birthday occasions!)

Best Indian food in Kingston set in a classy atmosphere with reasonable prices. I’m always very satisfied with my meal at Curry Original and make it a point to return whenever I’m in Kingston and have a craving for Indian.

Best Indian food I’ve ever had. I’ve tried Indian all over North America and this is by far the best. So flavourful, naan is hot and fluffy, dishes are full of flavour, rice is fluffy and perfect. Not to be missed!

Best Indian food I have had in a long time. The starters were average, but the main courses were excellent. Portions could be bigger, but again it’s really hard to find a good curry restaurant so this place is definitely worth the trip.

Probably the best Indian food in Kingston. Mostly tasty including the spicy vindaloo and butter chicken. The naan is warmth and fluffy. Overall, satisfying food but not the highest quality Indian I’ve had. Portions are average. If you’re craving it, I would recommend it.
