Shopsy’s

Being vegetarian, I don’t always get the option of good «street meat.» Shopsy’s takes care of me. They have a fairly good vegetarian dog. And it’s made to order! Which means, of course, that it will take a few extra minutes. It’s worth it and it makes sense to me. I’d rather have a fresh dog than one that’s been idling on the back burner.
The guy who runs this place is quite polite and quick to smile. He always makes it clear that there’s going to be a wait for my veg dog and I appreciate that.
The condiments are pretty awesome. I love when hot dog vendors have lots of options. it lets you customize your dog however you like and try new combos you’d never considered.
Good stuff all around.

Ahh, Shopsy’s… just when you thought you’d head home for a salad, that strong whiff of barbecued sausages wafts towards you, and all of a sudden you’re sitting outside the public library happily munching away on your sausage of choice.
Shopsy’s is a pretty cost effective little hot dog stand, and the dogs are delicious! The hot dog vendor who runs Shopsy’s stays late into the night on weekends so you can get your fix heading home from a night out as well.
