I’ve been here several times assisting various family members looking for wedding dresses/occasion dresses and have always enjoyed my experiences. I’ve been helped by the same lady each time(tall, thin, shortish blond-brown hair) and she is knowledgeable and friendly without being pushy. They have some beautiful gowns(wish I had a reason to wear one!) and two large fitting areas; a fitting room itself along with a seating area and mirrors where you can sit while you’re waiting for the person to try on the dress. The area is separated from the rest of the store with a curtain so the group as a whole has some privacy. The ambiance in these areas and in the store itself is very nice. Nice lighting, décor, etc.

Very classy shop, small, but with a seemingly good deal of variety of wedding and bridesmaids dresses and accessories. I dropped in here one afternoon on my ongoing quest to find a veil I liked(looking back, I may have been a bit on the picky side). The lady who served me was very nice, down to earth, and helpful, without being pushy. She asked me a few questions to determine what kind of style I was looking for, made a few suggestions, and left me to do my thing, after telling me to let her know if I had any more questions(I’m not a fan of hovering salespeople, so this was a-ok with me). I didn’t end up purchasing my veil from here, but I did enjoy browsing their selection. I tried to stay away from the dresses, as I had already bought mine, and though I was in love with it, didn’t want to take even the slightest chance of being tempted by another. However, from what I saw they were beautiful, and as mentioned above, there were a number of different styles to choose from. The section of bridesmaids dresses, while not extensive, did include decent selection of dresses varying in style and colour as well.

Being a self-proclaimed professional bridesmaid I can confidently say that Felicity’s is a great destination for dress shopping. The environment is neat and organized and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. During my latest visit we booked an appointment and had an amazing consultant who helped the appointment run smoothly. While I know there are larger stores out there, Felicity’s has a great selection of bridal and bridesmaid gowns and is certainly worth a visit.

I’ve been engaged now for a few months and like any tech-savvy bride-to-be’s I decided to take my initial search to the internet and searched out fellow Unilocalers to see what they thought about various bridal salons in HRM. There were rave reviews all around for Felicity and I was super excited for my sister to come to Halifax so I could set up our appointment and check out this store! I really liked that I could book our appointment online(As with many people my age who gaze affectionately at a well designed web page — I love being able to do all my business online) They asked what size you are looking to try on and had a little section for comments on what style you were looking for, and any other details you wanted to divulge. I added in the fact that I wanted to look at bridesmaid dresses and what dresses I found flattering on my first shopping trip. My biggest problem was finding the salon itself. They are located in the Salter Gate Plaza next to the Spa but you have to walk further up Hollis to see the entrance. Anyhow, once we got into the shop we had a fabulous consultant who was very friendly and knowledgeable. This was the trip where I fell in love with Chiffon! I really didn’t think that it would be the best material but it was very romantic and totally made me look like a goddess! Even though I didn’t go with any of their gowns for my dress I can’t say enough about their bridesmaids dress selection! Oh so many cute, figure friendly dresses at a great price. I found the best dress for my girls to wear that will make them all look super cute while complimenting my dress and me to perfection, which is ultimately every bride’s dream(unless they really hate their attendants and want to make them suffer a tragic fashion fate). So thank you Felicity for a great experience and the perfect bridesmaid dress! MWAH!

My sister is getting married this summer and we stopped by this boutique in search of the perfect wedding gown. Firstly, the décor and ambiance was really lovely. The consultant advised us to choose as many dresses as we wanted and to put them in a specific area. Other bridal stores we had visited previously would limit you to 4 choices at a time which was a huge pain. We were then brought to a private area with a change room and sitting area. There was a large mirror with a pedestal for the bride-to-be. The dresses were modern and unique. The prices were comparable to other bridal stores. The consultants were very patient, sweet and even excited to assist in the whole process. She purchased her dream gown here and the whole experience was really fun and memorable.

This quaint little bridal salon, tucked away in the Salter Gate apartment complex is Halifax’s best kept secret for brides-to-be, as many ladies opt for the«big name» boutiques like Winchester’s. Here’s the thing though– this store packs a serious white-silk-laden punch, and gives the big name salons a run for their money. This store features stunning collections if dresses, with an emphasis on classic styles. With so many styles to choose from, I could have been trying on dresses for hours. I abstained, however, and set my sights on one particular little number that I just might purchase… The staff and service here is impeccable– not once did I feel rushed during my appointment, and I felt that the consultants were keen on listening to my opinions and interests to find styles that were best suited to me. Coming to Felicity was certainly productive, and it’s quite possible I might return and say«yes» to a certain dress here in the near future
