Always & Forever Bridal

As a teenage girl looking for a prom dress I thought this would be a good place to look. As soon as you walk in the employees aren’t welcoming or helpful at all. They are rude and unfriendly and don’t seem to take me seriously as a potential buyer. Even if I found the dress of my dreams I would never consider giving them my business.

I recently found my Dress at Always and Forever!!! Thank you so much to Michelle who was amazing in helping me find my dress. I had gone to a few other places and did not get the FABULOUS service I received when visiting Always and Forever. She was very patient and kind when helping me and I a very picky bride. She made me feel very comfortable and welcome. Since finding my dress I have been back to try it on a few times and never once felt like I was being a pain. Thanks again Michelle for your great customer service and I would Highly recommend any Brides to be to visit Always and Forever for a great experience and welcome ness. I am sure I will be seeing you ladies again very soon to try my dress again before my big day August 2014.

Great experience renting a suite. Male clerk (NAME?) was perfect. Would go there again for sure. Highly recommended.

Negatives: This store is a bit hard to get to because of where it’s situated on Main street. It’s a steep slope down to a too-​small parking lot.
Positive: Because I had a big party with me, the lady put me in an area with a big mirror and lots of seating. She stayed by my side most of the time to help with the zipping, lacing and clamping, and only left to get more gowns. As for the dresses themselves, they are all in protective plastic bags. There are several manequins in the store displaying their best dresses. I found lots of very nice ones and came close to buying one there. The only reason I didn’t was because I had just started shopping, not because of any negative quality of the store or dress. The lady who was helping me out knew her stuff and convinced me to try a few things I wouldn’t have gone for at first, and I was grateful she did because some of them looked great. This store doesn’t book appointments on Saturdays because they are too busy with walk-​ins, so the lady warned me that I could only take 4 or 5 dresses at a time and that the store might get crowded. But despite this, she let me take (and brought me herself) a lot more than 5 dresses, and she was never too busy to help me.
This store also had bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dresses, tuxedos, ties and vests, veils, jewelry, and a nice selection of cake toppers. Definitely recommended for a great shopping experience.

Me and my best man went there to get our tux’s, the staff was very helpful and kept thing simple. He also didn’t just try to stick us in the most expensive thing in the store. He told us the prices and let us pick. something to remember, as far as I know this is the only place that carry they’re own stock. Every where else has to order they’re tux’s in. All and All it was a good experience.

Ugh. I choose Always and Forever as my first stop in Bridal shopping because it is located in Dartmouth and seemed convenient. Reaching the shop is a bit of a nightmare as it is located on Main Street at a set of lights. So you have to be quick when pulling in and out of the parking lot. Not to mention it’s next to a sleazy porn stop, and across the street from a strip club. That aside, I dislike this store for other reasons. Upon entering I was greeted with a rude bark of «shoes off!».
The staff are rude, unprofessional, and not knowledgeable. The girl helping me didn’t know the different types of dress styles, or what they had in stock. The selection is okay but everything is mashed together on racks and it is difficult to pull out a dress to get a glimpse of what it really looks like. I was pretty much left alone to browse, which I prefer but I received little help when trying on dresses. The girl helping me constantly left the area after zipping or lacing me up. Meaning I had to tramp through the store to find her and ask to change dresses. Apparently texting on her phone was more important that work. I would also like to say the the staff dressed completely unprofessionally for a bridal shop. At all other stores salespeople were in business casual. Here our salesgirl wore flip-​flops, bare legs, a faded and worn out miniskirt and a top with a neckline to rival JLo. If i’m spending hundreds of dollars on a dress, I’d at least like to see some effort from the staff to look presentable.
The quality of the dresses was cheap and poor. Some dresses has dirt on the hems and sequins falling off. Much of what was sold looked like white prom dresses. I received no input or tips about any of the dresses. None of the dresses were designer or name brands I had heard off, but there were many knock off styles. Many of the dresses had thin material and improper layering. On all of the dresses I tried on the zipper was plainly visible. Yuck.
When I found a dress I liked I asked if I could put it aside for two hours and come back to show my Mom. They said I’d have to buy it outright or put a deposit on it to hold it. One of the salesladies kept saying «you should just buy it, we have so many people come in it’ll probably sell this afternoon. I saw someone just yesterday with it on. You wouldn’t want your dream dress to slip away». I didn’t appreciate the scare tactics. Wedding dress shopping is emotional and stressful enough as it is, no need to add to it. As much as I liked the dress I said no thanks and walked away.

Went back to this store recently with the fiancé to rent vests and ties for him and the groomsmen, and had another great experience. The staff member who assisted us was extremely helpful and friendly, full of great suggestions, and eager to answer our questions. They had a LOT of selection in these items and it was so easy to make our choices. I even managed to find vests for the groomsmen that matched our bridesmaids dresses exactly, booyah!
We even got a little tie for my four year old nephew, who’s going to be the ring bearer, to wear that matches the groomsmen’s. Too cute.
Now if I can only accomplish the other 2.5 million little things that have to be done over the next two and a half weeks before the big day (but who’s counting…), everything will be fine!

Always and Forever is a bridal and formal wear boutique located in Dartmouth.
I like this store because it has a bit of everything all under one roof, so you can easily shop for your own wedding gown, and bridesmaid dresses while also checking out tuxedos for the men, and mini-​tuxs and dresses for the flower girls and ring-​bearers. The boutique also carries bridal shoes, tiaras, and other bridal accessories. And because the shop is a reasonable size, you’re more likely to get immediate one-​on-​one attention there, than if you were to shop at a larger boutique.
What I don’t like about this shop is that it’s located just a few doors down and across the road from a strip-​club, and is next door to an Excitement (adult) Video-​store (ergo, it’s situated in one of the more dodgier parts of town).
