I guess I should’ve checked reviews before going here. I’d been to another Tutti Fruiti on the west end, and had an OK experience, so was happy to see one open closer to home. I went around 11 am with my mom and her husband, and found this location insanely loud. Unlike the west end location, there is no separation to the room, it’s just one big open, echoing room. We got coffee and water fairly fast. Worst coffee-really watery and stale. We ordered breakfast– eggs benedict for me, blue velvet for my mom and some bacon and eggs combo for her husband(can’t remember the actual menu name). It did come out fairly fast, considering how busy the place was(maybe it just seemed fuller due to the noise volume?), but the orders were wrong. My potatoes were covered with what looked like brown goo… the waitress said she had given me someone else’s order, who had ordered their potatoes«fully loaded», which apparently means onions, gravy and canned mushrooms. She said I could keep it and she wouldn’t charge me, then asked if I wanted just regular potatoes… and then just walked away. My mom was not supposed to get potatoes and was supposed to get toast(guess which one she got). the loaded potatoes were disgusting, I scraped off the yucky canned mushrooms and only ate the plain potatoes underneath that hadn’t been saturated with gravy. The eggs benedict were ok, the crêpe my mom had was bland, and everything was about room temperature. Overall, I would not return to this location.

Breakfast was not good. First of all the restaurant is a massive fishbowl, you are crammed in between everyone else and you can’t hear the person across from you. I ordered eggs Benedict. The ham was the cheapest you can get. The potatoes were old, cold and tasted like dirty grill. The English muffin also tasted like dirty grill. I only ate 1⁄3 of my meal. The waitress saw the full plate and did not say anything to me. She just gave us the debit machine so she could get us paid up and out of there so she could get another table in. I will not be going back.

Had not heard of this place until today when my dining companion suggested it. Having a late breakfast. Overall feel like Cora’s, but that’s where the feeling ends. We ordered two daily specials; a feta and spinach quiche for me, a cheese and mushroom omelete for her. Food arrived in a decent amount of time and was correct as ordered. Plates looked a bit underwhelming, and the look was the best thing about them. Everything on my plate except the bland tossed salad was fresh from the microwave. The quiche crust was soggy and tough, just as a microwaved quiche should be. The filling was mushy and nearly tasteless with no trace of feta. The potatoes were lukewarm, oily and rubbery. Nothing on the plate was appealing in any way. My partner’s omelete was even worse; after two bites she discovered it was made with orange processed cheese and that’s where her dining experience ended. She returned her food and waited for me to finish one-quarter of my plate, which was enough. The waitress later told us they also have white cheddar that is not processed, but by then we had decided to abandon ship. Service was friendly but not brisk. Prices for normal menu items seems high if our specials were any indication of overall quality. Would only return if I could bring my own food, or everything else within 100 km was closed.

The first impression was good. We arrived at 10:30am and were given a 15 to 20 min wait. The colour scheme was very warm earthy colours and had a comfortable feel. The bathrooms were very posh and clean. That is where the good stops. We were a party of 3 adults and one small child. Parties of 2, 4 and 6 came in after us and were seated. We stood in the crowded entrance for 45 mins being seated at 11:17am. We should have left but gave it a fair shoot. The host did apologize but I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. There was a consistent in and out traffic, some of which was getting tables before us and arriving after us. The waitress forgot to ring our sons food up so we didn’t get any food until 12:00pm. We were now 90 mins in the restaurant before eating. She did apologies and was honest with us. I wouldn’t attempt to eat here again. The oatmeal was priced at the same price point as the Fairmont at $ 8 a bowl. Due to the service and wait time I think I would rather go to the Hotel McDonald. Better service, atmosphere and food. Same price. Overall this is a Cora’s copycat. I have never had an issue with seating at Cora’s even when we do wait. This place could improve upon things if they sort out the seating issues. It was worth a shot but skip this one and head over to Cora’s until they sort out their problems.

Worst breakfast place I’ve ever been to in my life. I rather spend my money at Cora’s! The only thing good was not on the menu. Their water. I ordered a «VIP Experience»(they should rename that to economy class experience) it consisted of bland crepes, plain French toast, to top it off with not much fruit in the middle of the plate. I felt like I needed meat so I ordered the turkey sausage. I tasted grease. No turkey flavor whatsoever. My boyfriend had eggs Benedict. The bread was disgusting. We know what bread is suppose to taste like, that was not bread. $ 40 for all of that crap? You’re better off going to Cora’s. We tipped our server because she was doing her job well. We will not be returning. I shake my head at this sad excuse of a restaurant. So sad I felt the need to make a Unilocal account to vent about this monsterosity excuse they call breakfast food.

Incredibly average — the eggs Benny were runny and the hash browns were cold. It was easy to get a table… Probably should have considered that a bad sign. Trying to be too much like Cora’s.

A few weeks ago my girlfriends and I(at my suggestion) went to T.F. to celebrate a birthday. My guests did not comment negatively about what they had but I could not eat my selection of three types of crepes. They were like shoe leather and there was no fruit. The plate in fact looked bare. This week I took my husband for his birthday — he is a true breakfast lover. I always believe its fair to give a second chance. This was a huge mistake. When we arrived we waited and waited to be seated. There was no staff to be seen. I finally entered the seating area and found the 3 servers chatting at the back. There were only three other occupied tables. We ere finally seated by a server who was not she declared our server. After about 10 minutes our server had not arrived and the woman who seated us took our order. I asked what the quiche of the day was… she had to check. I then asked it was made on site or was it frozen — she informed me it came from Quebec. Really quiche of the day and you can’t make it here. As it turned out the crust was so tough I could not cut it. the accompanying salad was inedible. Do you understand the outer layers of romain lettuce are bitter and these were full of brown rot. I could not eat this for sure. My husbands breakfast was adequate but had spent too much time under the lights. We were nnever asked how are food was(especially since mine was still on the plate) nor were we asked for coffee until we were paying our bill. The waitress said I should have asked — I believe that is her job. How you expect to run a business when you can’t manage decent service and food when you only have four tables you need to take a closer look at your business plan…

GREATFOOD, FASTSERVICE! I have been to this restaurant twice this month for breakfast and both times I have been very pleased! We were seated quickly, even though there was a line up they moved through it efficiently. Food was very good both times, I’ve tried an egg white omelette and a crêpe. The servers are very friendly and are constantly coming around with coffee and water, and made every effort to ensure our satisfaction. We noticed this restaurant to be very well staffed so we were seated quickly, the service is prompt and courteous, and our empty dishes were cleared quickly. The atmosphere is very enjoyable, the location is excellent and the parking is ample. We recommend trying out this new hot spot — we love it!

This is a Cora’s knock-off. I don’t particularly have anything much to say about the food as it was decent. It was not spectacular, but it was decent. I would have to say it was of the quality I would expect from Denny’s, but a little but better. There were two if us for lunch at about 1:15 on a Friday, so outside of lunch rush. We were seated quickly at a tiny little table for two, even though there were many 4 tops available and we are two dudes over 6′ each. Anyways the real issue was wait for the server to take our order. Probably 15 mins to get to that stage. Then we ordered and as soon as she had written it all down she says«the good will be about 25 minutes…» and walked away! How the hell can it take 25 minutes to make two omelettes??? I could have driven home, made two omelettes, brought then back and served them to myself in 25 minutes! C’mon Tutti Frutti, you are going to have to do better than that. To be fair, awesome server. But she is not going to stick around in a place that takes that long to make breakfast or lunch. *slams door on Tutti Frutti.

My wife and I arrived at about 845 with our 2 small children. We were seated fairly quickly and our server came by introduced herself, brought a carafe of water and menus. Thats about where the positive stops. The first thing we noticed about the menus was all of the food looks like it has been taken right out of a chez cora menu. My son at this point being an avid restaurant patron knew he was missing something and went looking for«his menu». Crayons and paper. My wife got up went and asked the hostess for crayons. When the server came back we informed her we were in a bit of hurry and needed to be out by 10 at the latest we had an appointment.(1hr 15 mins should be ample i would think). She said yup no worries ill ask the kitchen staff to rush it. So as we waited and waited and waited we ran out of water. About this time being about 30 minutes or so Our server came back we asked for more water and she informed us that the computer had crashed but, they were on it and our food wood be out shortly. I was gonna cancel the order and leave but she assured us it would only be a few more minutes there was a rush on it. So we waited another 15. Our food arrived about 10 minutes before we had to leave. I always take note of who around me ordered and in what order so I know when to reasonably expect my food. So this RUSH that was supposedly put on our food the 2 people who arrived after us but ordered before us because… well I don’t know why really… anyways the 2 before us got their food in order 12 than 3 being us. So I know our food was not rushed any faster than anyone else. Now normally I wouldn’t even ask for a rush but the server suggested! Now please dont tell me it is being rushed when clearly it isnt. Also a note about the serveling staff and restaurant. The restaurant seems to be a little classier than coras but the servers and hostess all looked like they just rolled out of bed with their untucked wrinkled shirts. The food now! carla had an asparagus omelet which was fine except the woody end of the asparagus that you normally trim wasnt trimmed and her toast wasn’t even toasted like come on(see my pictures)!! I had the 2 eggs sausage bacon potatoes pancakes and subed out the creton for a english muffin and asked for hollandaise on the side. The hollandaise was dreadful not the worst but close. Had to ask for water again and all the condiments. Tip to servers. When you have a small child serve them first it allows mom or dad to cut up food and get the child situated. When you serve mom and dad first we eat colder food and have to work around our meals when theirs finally arrives. 3rd don’t bring the childs drink last by the time you do that mom and dad are finished eating and the child has barely started but has been drinking spilling or back washing in my drink. All n all new restaurant isnt an excuse for the horrible food amd service I had today. Ill try again in a year when they have their stuff together
