I have been to two locations of Simply Donair. The St. Albert one is great too.
Their donair anything is my favourite in the city. I always get a small donair. The small is pretty big, it is similar to most regular size donairs from other places. Fries always are made to order.
But the donair salad is my new favourite. All the things I love about donairs in a «convenient» tray to eat. It is much less messy, but just as delicious. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, with optional olives and banana peppers. A never ending supply of donair meat drowning, in a good way, in sweet sauce.
I have never had a bad meal here, just big, delicious ones.

Solid food. The donair meat was the highlight. Sliced by hand, moist and flavourful. Perhaps a little too chopped up while fried for my liking but the taste was unchanged.
The sweet sauce was tasty. They had a good assortment of vegetables including canned mushrooms which were better than I thought they would be. I observed that if you were ordering a burger they would fry the onions and mushrooms for you if you wanted. Nice touch. I would come back if in the area.

Simply the best donair I have had outside Chicago!(where they call it a gyro) The service was fast, the space clean and bright, the food delicious and affordable. Even the bathrooms were clean and nice.

Ordered the large beef donair. It was hot, fresh and fantastic. It’s the size of a football. Probably 25% more meat than the place down the street. I’ll be a regular from now on.

Was getting training from my Union and only had 30 min for lunch so we drove in a hurry to this location. I had regular donair no cheese sweet and garlic sauce and onion rings and my husband had the regular donair with sweet sauce and no lettuce. Our donair were really good! He was done after ¾ of his donair. I ate all mine, my onion rings and the few pieces of meat left in his donair. They Are juicy and plenty full. Really liked it

This shop is about a half block from my sister’s and she’s always suggesting I go. Well yesterday I finally did. The shop was clean and the two men working were in good spirits. I had a typical large beef donair. As the guy was assembling it, he asked the obligatory «sweet or tszatziki?» He then proceeds to put, in my estimation, way way too much sauce. However, upon eating it, it had the perfect amount. The meat tasted good too. Yay for donairs.

I thought Id stop in here for lunch as my coworker could not stop raving about how these were «best donairs in the city»

Id hardly call them «the best» but I will say that they’re the biggest I’ve seen in the city.
One thing I found kind of gross though was how greasy the meat was…
When I got to the bottom of the donair all the grease had solidified and become and orange paste… So the last few bites ended up in the trash lol.
I will say however the staff were very nice, and the dining room was exceptionally clean. Plus it looked very classy!

4 stars for the great service the guy making my food gave me. It might have just been because I was there late at night. I asked him if he could fry the donair meat and make it crispy, and boy was it crispy. it took a little longer to make, but it was worth it. Hopefully I can get it the same way done every time I visit here when im craving a donair.

Place is awesome… great donairs, price is fair and you get big portions. Donair Meat tastes great there service is fast enough and friendly and the place is clean and sanitary. Worth checking out every time

This is a great little donair shop! Quick friendly and clean what more can you ask for. The donairs are large and tasty the sauces are yummy.
Lots if space to eat in kid friendly and a nice kids menu to boot. Super friendly staff always clean the cleanest donair shop in Edmonton I would say!
Everyone I that has gone hear only gives it thumbs up!

Donair shop on SE side of Edmonton. Large seating area. Even the small donairs are huge and too much to eat. I had the burps all afternoon. You can choose your toppings. Too much meat I dare say, no room for veggies. Still a good buy for the price. Staff very clean with food handling. Cheese is extra. The food ordering is a little mixed up because after you pick your toppings you have to go backward in the lineup to pick up your order. Now you can get fries with your donair… my my times changed, you can probably get fries with curry now too! I still like the sauce at the place a couple of blocks south of this one better.

Very good donairs and very clean. Workers washed their hands everytime after touching cash register. They had a line of of plastic gloves lined up for each new donair they made. A small donair sells for around $ 8.00 with cheese extra. They are generous with their meat and toppings unlike many donair dives. They charge extra for cheese. There is plenty of seating and modern. The staff are friendly. It can be a little slower at times as there is often only 2 people working but its usually worth the wait.

Wow. Great customer service and very clean establishment.
Great Prices and great food. A large Felafel was 6 $. Can’t beat that price for eating fresh and healthy.
Tried the Felafel with tzatziki with all vegetables as I eat vegetarian :) And dont forget the Baklava :)
Quick and awesome fresh to order. Oh and did I mention FREE Wifi :) Next time dont get a vacuume packed 2500 cal. sub from the convenience store, stop and get a donair :)
