They just renovated this goodwill so it looks even better! Very nicely organized. Very good prices(way better than Value Village because Value Village looks at the brand and prices it accordingly… sometimes you could pay a few dollars more to get it brand new). All T-shirts are the same price no matter how good, bad, or ugly they are, etc. It’s like shopping all the stores in a mall in one shot! Even better when they have ½ off certain colored tags!

Just came back from this location after reading some good reviews of this place… I was disappointed. I only looked at the non-clothing items and found them to be slightly overpriced, even compared to other locations. I wanted to look at an item in the glass display case that was already open as the attendant was showing some jewellery to a couple, but after standing there for a good 5 minutes, with no acknowledgement, I asked to see the item, to which the attendant rudely replied, «You’ll have to wait until I’m with these people ma’am… only one person at a time». Really?! So you expect me to keep standing there and wait until this other couple finishes humming and hawing over a necklace just to check out an item?! Wow. So far the Southside location is still my favourite. With much more friendly staff and so many more items priced appropriately.

I have had some really good finds at this store. Mostly in regards to jewelry(sterling silver) and clothes. Just like any thrift store you need to take your time. I found 2 Aritiza sweaters here on my last trip. $ 95 in the mall and got them here for $ 7 each. Found a few others tops that turn out to be ½ off. Everything in the clothing section will be priced by the type of item. Example all shirts $ 5, all sweaters $ 7. Unless it is a «boutique» item. Those are usually something they perceived to have a greater value and will be individually priced. They will be in a different section. So take your time and I am sure you will find a gem in here somewhere. Also bring stuff to donate! That way your can make room for you new treasures!

This is a very good Goodwill. There are some very good finds, and the shoe selection is excellent. Prices in general are reasonable, though some of the kids stuff is pricier than I think it should be.

Hey, fellow shoe-lover — can you keep a secret? This is where beautiful shoes come to rest when their previous owners get bored of them! Seriously, I was amazed at the selection of women’s shoes they had in stock, and all in surprisingly good condition as if they weren’t even worn more than once. My eyes first landed on a pair of lime green Guess sandals and I thought I was mistaken. Then I read they were priced $ 11 and I was sure I needed my eyes checked. Guess for $ 11 — where else are you going to get that?(Sadly no, I didn’t get them as they were too small) Goodwill has everything from shoes to furniture, kitchen gadgets and small appliances to home décor items, clothing and jewelry. I love perusing the kitchen junk section, cause it reminds me of stuff I used to see around the house when I was little. Lots of «Ohh, I remember these!» and«Huh, that’s what those are for …» There’s also a large collection of vintage china and tea cups behind glass cabinets for those who like things proper and dainty. I didn’t get a chance to check out the clothing section, as I honestly was way too distracted by the endless possibilities of shoes to care that day. But needless to say, this Goodwill location offers an abundance of gently used items that anyone can benefit from. If you love garage and yard sales or thrift stores, check out this place. You might want to set aside a good portion of your afternoon just to allow plenty of browsing time. Have fun!

this is a really great goodwill store with a good selection of all kinds of things. everything is in good shape and the prices are right. no matter if you’re looking for clothes, records, books or furniture, you’ll most likely find it here and if not, you’ll find some other bargains ;-)

I remember coming to Goodwill with one of my female friends who is a fashionista and a self-proclaimed treasure hunter. We would spend hours browsing through all the clothes an inevitably finding one or two hidden gems. We were so good at digging out amazing finds such as hardly worn, practically brand new jackets, tops and coats. We even managed to find several designer pieces… With time this treasure fining enthusiasm weakened, and now I hardly ever visit Goodwill. Enthusiasm gave room to sheer frustration and irritability as now I can’t stand going through rack after rack of other people’s old clothes. I like consignment boutiques such as Vespucci, but not Goodwill. Everything in the store looks millions years old, and all the clothes look as if they haven’t been taken good care of. For me, Goodwill is a good place to buy an occasional book or two… everything else — not so much, sorry.

I was shocked at how awesome the selection is at this Goodwill. It wasn’t like Value Village, where I can go through 50 shirts without finding anything good. As I was going through all the racks, there was almost always something cool and different. I found this one amazing brown button-down dress, but I was so disappointed, when it was slightly too small. I would also definitely suggest this place, if you’re moving out for the first time and can’t afford new furniture. I saw some really decent couches and coffee tables for super cheap. While I was here with a friend, we found some awesome stuff in the book section. My friend collects those old Little Golden Books/Records, an he found a couple here that were in excellent condition. I also found an old Webster’s hardcover grammar book that was in perfect condition. I love Goodwill, but I do find some of the prices a bit high. Still, it’s cheaper than buying anything new, and sometimes it’s worth it, when you find something really unique.

This Goodwill used to be located where the Giant Tiger shop is now, on Stony Plain Road. It’s moved, and the best Goodwill in the city has only gotten better. The furniture section and record sections are expanded, there’s always something amazing to be found in the shoes, and there are even two entire bookshelf units devoted to vintage and classics! My thrift-shopping partner-in-crime always leaves with armloads of dresses and bathing suits for her collection. It’s huge, it’s well-stocked, and I’ve never been disappointed by a visit to this paticular Goodwill location.
