I’ve had two tattoos done at Oceanic by Scott. Overall my experience was okay. My tattoos are high quality work and have healed great, but the reason I didn’t give the shop more stars was because of the staff’s negative attitudes. For instance the receptionist was very rude to my friend and I when I showed up to my appointment, she treated us like we were interrupting something and like we were being nuisances. I thought the first time was just her having an off day, but when she treated me like that for my second and third appointments I realized that wasn’t the case.

I was here for the $ 5 Canada day tattoos. Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have stopped in. I have a place that I usually stick with, but for $ 5 I can branch out. I’m very happy I did! I spent more time waiting around inside the shop than most, so believe me when I say it’s comfortable and nice in there. Everyone working was super friendly, polite and talkative. That’s saying a lot since they were serving and tattooing hundreds of people that day and I was around one of the last people to get in. All the artist working are very talented, and each offer a different style of tattooing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a tattoo shop

My husband and I stopped in here a few weeks ago during the Switch Open Street fest in August. I had always wanted a tattoo but never knew what or where I would get. We stopped in just to get information and pricing. Janette was at the desk when we went in and she was incredibly helpful.
After going home and mulling over the information I decided on a tattoo that I wanted and I emailed Jan right away and we set up an appointment. She was just as friendly and helpful through email as she was in person.
I went to get my tattoo on a Friday evening — she kept the shop open late for me so I could get it done as soon as possible. I walked in and the shop was clean and inviting. As a first-​timer I didn’t feel intimidated or looked down upon or judged at all. It was great to just be able to walk in and get a small tattoo and have the artist encourage you and make sure you’re okay.
I left with an amazing tattoo — albeit small and simple — but it certainly makes me want to go back. We had a lot of laughs and I felt very comfortable and at ease the entire time I was there. For anyone looking to get their first tattoo and is nervous and worried about which shop to walk in to — I highly suggest you walk in to this one.

Tattoo shops are a hard one, you never really know until you go yourself but lucky for me my friend had been many times and ensured it was top notch!
I was initially going to support my friend in her newest tattoo, when I realized I had been planning one for years and may as well just do it! Nothing big so I called to see if there was an appointment available at the same time. Jan, the artist, answered and informed me she was actually coming in early to do my friends and no one else was there. She then asked what it was I wanted and quickly agreed to include me in the appointment. (both our tattoos were small) I was so excited we went 2 days later and she was fantastic! I had emailed her my script prior so she had it all ready in various size ranges so we could pick. She was quick, professional and very thorough to make sure they were the best product.
The space was clean, welcoming and made everything easy on you. (which I think is a great quality in a Tattoo shop) The only thing, as with most tattoo places, is it takes CASH ONLY. So be sure to bring the dough… but it is SURE worth it! I’m sure I will be back for more!

I’ve never had a tattoo but if I ever got one it’d be done here. I came here recently with my girlfriend who has had three of her four tattoos done here. Everything she’s ever gotten done with Scott looks absolutely stunning. The atmosphere is perfect for those looking for professional staff with amazing artistic skill.

In the process of getting a rather large tattoo done here by Scott, and I couldn’t be any happier with it! Great staff, atmosphere and experience! I highly recommend this place!!!
