Hey Dale, can we go thrift shopping? wut wut… It’s been a while, so queue this up and crank it while you read! A sure result of all the hipsters out there«poppin’ tags,» but I had trouble finding anything that would really fit me at this thrift store. You’re not to blame — that ice on the fringe IS so damn frosty. Stopping to think about it that’s actually pretty cool problem to have, people. Thrift shopping is popular enough that in the gigantic, well lit and well laid out store I couldn’t really find any«finds». Not only are people shopping the heck out of this place, they’re also supporting humanitarian causes. Actually, wait… what«humanitarian cause» is it? Umm… nothing really says. Let do some digging, shall we? According to their website, «the net proceeds from our thrift store help support humanitarian and mission endeavors worldwide.» Hmm… well that’s not really giving us much, is it? «World Serve supports World Serve Ministries of Canada» — There it is! Want to find out what they do? I do. Let’s! «WorldServe has been called by God to advance the Gospel in closed and hard-to-reach nations and to impact those nations for Christ… We want to provide copies of God’s Word to our ministry partners in places around the world where it’s difficult if not impossible to get Bibles.» Looking back at the store logo, it is clearly a crucifix. Suddenly it all makes sense. Happy we’ve now got at least some transparency on what a the humanitarian cause is. If you’d like to learn more about them, the website is: For the most part, the products that are available were really… safe, for lack of a better word. I just wanna knowin’ about wearing a wolf on my noggin. I just wanna knowin’ about wearin’ a fur fox skin. But nothing like that. Nothing too cool, crazy and interesting, just a very«safe» thrift store. But a well organized, well stocked and clean one at that. And it even helps support a cause!

This is the cleanest and best arranged thrift store I’ve ever visited. It’s not as big as a goodwill or value village, but the selection is quite decent and the fitting rooms offer actual privacy. They also have an auction(you bid) section for some of the rarer antiques and collectibles in store.

This is a great place because not only can you get great stuff and good prices, you are also supporting a global humanitarian cause. I love it — help your wallet and your soul. :-) This is a very Goodwill-style store. They have men, women, and kids clothing, with some home ware. kitchen, and electronic items. As with any of these types of stores, the selection varies. However, there was a really good mix of clothing types and the prices couldn’t be beat($ 4 for jeans!). There was also a good selection of shoes and coats. The kitchen/home section was pretty great as well. The next time I’m having a party and I need more serving ware I will definitely come back to get what I need. There were a couple of pieces of furniture(mostly accessory tables, chairs, etc.) but definitely look because the items change fairly regularly. All-in-all a great find and definitely worth multiple trips.
