Review #4 of Unilocal’s 30 Day Challenge 2012
My doc has relocated to this building (at least closer for us) so trekking out here has become a regular occurrence. Having had very little sleep the night before I was needing more coffee to help get me through the morning and keep me going. As we were walking into the office building… Speroni’s appeared. Now I knew it was there… had spotted it before… just forgot. We stopped in so I could get my quick hit of java.
The café is small, simple with a few breakfast and/​or snack type items. They seem to have a fair selection of coffees and such. I’m a creature of habit and ordered the regular (dry cap if you please). The coffee came and initially the taste kind of through me for a loop… but after a few more glugs I was good to go moving beyond the initial jolt.
I would stop in again the next time we are visiting the doc as the café is clean, the service & employees pleasant and the coffee will wake you up before you Go Go.

This little café is a staple for people who work in the office buildings on Southport Rd. They make a solid variety of coffee and espresso drinks, and the staff is always really friendly.
I find that their americanos are o-​kay, but a lot of people seem to love it. I wish they had some more selection in terms of breakfast food /​snacks though.
Now for the kicker. Once I went in there in the mood for hot chocolate. I ordered and saw the girl pour some chocolate milk, froth it using the machine frother and hand it to me. I was not sure if they did add anything else because I was not watching her that closely, and because I thought that just giving me frothed up chocolate milk was ridiculous. «I must have missed the part when they added actual chocolate powder…» but when I got back to my office and took a sip, nope no mistake. It was literally frothed up chocolate milk. I was so disappointed I have not been back since.
For coffee, its okay, but for anything else, I would go somewhere else.
