Salon Fli

Salon Fli is a great little spot tucked in the Beltline of downtown. I see Sheena for my haircuts and love her attention to detail! The salon itself has a nice vibe, with cool decorations and they always play great music. Sheena has never been late to an appointment with me, and always offers me a beverage. She takes a lot of time in the beginning of the appointment to understand my hair and what I want done before taking me over to wash. I always leave feeling beautiful and happy. I always recommend my friends try this salon!

Did I go home and restyle my hair? Absolutely not!
My stylist was intuitive and talented as she cut & styled my hair. She listened to what my concerns were about my hair. She patiently looked at a few pics of my hair from a few years ago, so that I could share the look that I was hoping for.
And then she methodically began to section off my hair and really concentrate on the business of giving me a great style and cut.
I loved attention to detail and I loved the resulting fabulous style. My stylist is from Victoria, but that’s all I’m going to say, besides the fact that she’s truly great at cutting hair — great technique!
The salon is roomy and there looks to be some other amazing talent cutting hair there.
(I watched from above as my chair was situation in a loft area above the rest of the salon).
I think the salon is well-​situated with on-​street parking. There’s a few good restaurants nearby, Starbucks, Jelly Modern Doughnuts… so you could get your hair styled and then meet someone for lunch… perfect!

What’s a girl to do when her stylist packs up, moves to Calgary and joins a new salon? Follow her of course!
Finding a new salon can be a tricky, scary thing. I knew I would still be getting the amazing dos that I have always received from Michelle but would I like the new salon? Would it be relaxing, would it have a cool vibe, would I be able to find it? The answer’s; all yes, yes and yes! I am so happy with everything about Fli: A chic shop in a great area downtown in the same strip as some cool shops and great eats (and lattes across the street!!). All the stylists are really unique and professional. The magazines totally current and the environment is light, bright and bold. I can definitely say that I think I am going to be very happy here!

This place is awesome. Yes I paid a high price for their top stylist, but it was soooo worth it!!! Jeremy is hi name, and he is very professional, polite, and gives an excellent scalp massage.
I have tried lots of salons with many different levels of stylists, and I would love to pay less! But I now know you pay for experience unfortunately, but most things are «you get what you pay for!» That being said, if ypu can afford it, go to Jeremy, he is the best so far. I absolutely love him. I had so many compliments…

Unless you are willing to pay a very high price for one of their most experienced staff, this place is not worth the cost.
I called in to make an appt and since the girl I had gone to last time had left, I asked for a recommendation for someone who was experienced with highlights and cuts. I went in with completely natural color hair and asked for noticable blonde highlights with pictures of what I wanted. The girl ends up coloring my hair the exact same color as my natural hair color (except more copper toned) and the cut I probably could have asked my younger sister to do and she would have done a better job.
Since I spent three hours in the salon, dropped $ 250 on this and walked out looking EXACTLY the same, i called back and asked to get it recone. They wouldn’t let me see another stylist so I had to press my luck and go to the same girl. She ended up doing a decent job on the highlights, but for a high end salon like this one, you shouldn’t need to go back a second time.
I definitly won’t be going back to this place again and in my opinion there are a ton of other salons out there that will do a better job for a much lower price!
