Miss Math Tutor is a private tutoring company specializing in math from grade 6 to first year university. I provide in home tutoring all areas of mathematics. If you, or your child are struggling with mathematical concepts, I am will pinpoint the area of struggle and provide resources, tools and instruction to improve your understanding.

History

Established in 2013.

Miss Math Tutor started in Calgary, Alberta, Canada as a side job from teaching. It migrated to Melbourne when I went over on a holiday and decided I didn’t want to go home. When my time run out in Australia, Miss Math Tutor migrated back to Calgary and my familiar curriculum.

I, the tutor, have five years of teaching in Canada as well as 2 years of working as a professional tutor outside of school hours.

I currently have a number of student I am working with and spaces are filling up fast.

I left my teaching job with hopes of exploring new possibilities and opportunities, which lead me to eight months traveling in Australia and Indonesia. Though not long after being out of the classroom I found that I desperately missed teaching. I dabbled in some tutoring in Melbourne and am back in full swing in Calgary.

As for my credibility, I am a fully certified Canadian Teacher. I hold a degree in science as well as education, but most importantly I have five years of experience in a classroom. Over my five years in a classroom I focused my efforts on helping my students understand the concepts, not just replicating solutions. I became frustrated with the lack of time I had for each student and have decided to focus my energy in a different manner. I believe every student is able to achieve at the level they desire with a little assistance and persistence. My job as a tutor is to provide you with the tools you require to find success, you then have the power to use those tools.
