Private and group tutoring available. We use the same textbooks at the Alberta school system
History
Established in 1995.
In 1995 Sherma Jeffrey-Ryan started with the vision of reaching every child through education. First she focused on the underprivileged children who were failing in the traditional school system. She started tutoring at home and she quickly realized that the need was greater than she had envisioned. Later Calgary Learning Institute moved to a larger educational facility with a computer lab and library to accommodate and enhance the learning experience of many students.
CLI’s visions is to help children access quality tutoring at a reasonable cost, and at the same time receive the highest level education from qualified teachers in Alberta.
Our goal is to eliminate poverty through education, offering individualized training programs in English, adult workplace training, computer skills and tutoring.

Business Owner
Sherma Jeffrey-Ryan is the proud wife of Kevin Ryan, the mother of four grown sons and a grandmother of one grandson. She is a teacher in the Calgary System. She has a BA in Sociology, a Bachelor of Education, a Masters in Education and is she is presently enrolled in a Masters of Counseling Psychology. Sherma has been tutoring and teaching for the past 20 years. She wants to make a difference for children and impact the next generation.
