Kent Of Inglewood

Kent of Inglewood is an awesome store! If you’re looking for a battleaxe, you probably won’t find that here, but there are plenty of actual axes it that’s what you’re into. They also have razors, seriously high quality razors. It’s definitely worth having a conversation with them to find a great shaving tool. They certainly know what they’re talking about. For me, I got a safety razor and have settled on Feather blades, but as they’ll tell you, it’s a highly individual thing. They have exemplary products and customer service. It is well worth a visit no matter where in Calgary you live.

You’ll find everything you could ever need to tame your man-​face into something magnificent. When it comes to facial hair, it doesn’t matter whether you’re into getting rid or all of it, or growing it big and bushy, they’ve got a way to help.
When it comes to razors, they’re stuck in the past in the best kind of way. Dating back to before the days of the Bic disposable razor, Kent Of Inglewood carries and astonishing selection of classic safety razors and (if you’re badass enough) straight blades with solid stainless steel handles, polished chrome and even gold.
I recently picked up some Castle Forbes shaving cream and it’s freaking incredible, and well, for $ 57, I’d say it damn well should be! That said, you use so little of the stuff, at every 3^rd day shave rate, they think it will last me over a year. $ 57 a year to have my razor glide effortlessly along my face, to actually look forward to a shave day, to turn velcro stubble into a magnet for lady-​kisses. Hell yes. Take my money.

Shakers, mixers, strainers, whisky glasses. They’ve got it all, and it’s all gorgeous. If you want a gold plated shaker and jigger you can have that. They tell me they make your Manhattans taste better. I believe them.

I’m learning that a man just doesn’t wake up one day and find himself
with a luscious lady-​slaying set of fur on his face. If they found a magic
tonic that could do this, I would imagine it’d be an instant Nobel price winner, over
some research done on cancer or whatever.
I’m currently in a quest to reach the highest mustache and beard potential, a.k.a. The Nu-​Manchu and it’s been a hard journey. Everyone’s been calling me Manny Pacquiao which I suppose is better than someone getting pest control to catch the muskrat growing on my lips.
Which led me to my visit to Kent of Inglewood, a men’s grooming and shave shop. It’s not a store dense with shelves of product, but they have a lot of selection depending on what you’re looking for. In this instance I needed something to soften the scruff, but accentuate the ferocity of my Nu-​manchu. I had no idea what I was talking about or needed. Lucky for me, they were helpful enough to let me know on the things I’ll need and were reasonable with what I should spend on and
don’t need to spend on. There were even some encouraging and inspirational words letting me know that «you’re almost there, you’re on the right track.»

Sure the products might be a bit pricey, but for the knowledge and the quality, it’s more than reasonable exchange of value. One could walk into a supermarket and opt to slap on women’s hair product on your face, but I’m quite sure women won’t make out with a guy who smells like their girlfriend’s scalps.

Started growing out my luxurious man mane and was looking for a bit of help taming the beast. Started looking online for a good place to check out here in Calgary, and I found Kent of Inglewood. Though it was a very busy day one of the guy’s still took some time to talk a bit with me. Explained exactly what was going on with my face fuzz and gave me some advise on how to take better care of it. At the same time I picked up some «beard saver» and some beard balm to help give my beard new life and tame my stash. I went home and I applied the knowledge that I had just learned to my beard. In no time at all my face sweater was GLORIOUS! Like 10 minutes of working with it! I went out that same night for dinner and a bus boy at the restaurant came up to me and was all like «nice beard dude!». Was out the next day and was walking around a shop and one of the guys who works there also commented on my beard!
Anyways… sorry to go with the beard talk.
These guys got a huge selection of knifes, razors, balms, creams, and basically just man/​facial hair lifestyle accessories.
I think I have a new favorite store. The ONLY down side I found was trying to find parking on a busy day. But, it’s Inglewood, so come on.
5 out if 5, it would like, 4.8 cause of the parking, but what can you do.
