Very nice place to stay between flights. Free shuttle that runs regularly 24hrs and the hotel is only like a 5 min drive. The hotel is very new looking. The counter staff were very friendly and professional. We asked for a quieter room facing away from the airport and we’re nicely accommodated. The rooms are very nice. The bathroom is spacious and we’ll laid out. The pillows on the bed were a little too soft but otherwise it was a great stay. We are coming back on our way through in a week.

An above average Hampton Inn. Looks relatively new with really comfortable beds. Got stranded here by West Jet — and it looks like I did better than the other poor unfortunate souls that went to the Holiday Inn. Huge breakfast selection compared to other Hampton Inn that I’ve stayed at. Gentleman behind the counter was also extremely professional — even at 1 in the morning…

It was hard to choose a hotel from so many choices in the Calgary downtown and YYC area. Here’s a quick breakdown of my stay here: Cons: My room wasn’t ready 10 minutes before the 4pm check in time. The front desk lady told me to wait in the lounge and she would call me when my room was ready. Exhausted from a long day, I sat in the lounge with my 2 year old and luggage patiently waiting for her to give me the good news that my room was ready. Restless, I followed up with her 30 minutes later at 4:20 and she told me the room was ready. LIMITEDPARKING. Good luck if you don’t have a rental. There is nothing in walking distance from the hotel. There are light dinner options at the hotel, but who’d want to pay $ 15 for nachos? Looks like they’re short on housekeeping staff. My room wasn’t cleaned and prepped until 3:30pm on all 3 days during my stay. Pricey — probably because it was pricey everywhere else in Calgary during my stay. I paid $ 175/night. Can someone help me figure out how I’ll get this paid? Pros: Who doesn’t like a new hotel?! Sound proofing was well done. Pool was nice. Towels were nicely stocked and there was an open shower to rinse off after your dip in the pool. 3 stars for«A-OK.»

Hampton Inn by Hilton Calgary Airport North is definitely worth the stay. They have a motto that goes by «if you’re not satisfied, you don’t pay.» I can safely admit that not many hotels would make such claim unless they are utterly confident about their customers’ sense of satisfaction. And so, I took them up on that challenge by actually staying with them. As one arrives, it’s clear that the exterior landscaping may not be all that perfect looking but the building itself is simple and modern. As I walked in, I was immediately welcomed by a fresh looking interior. Yes. It felt refreshing and I was soon greeted by two friendly receptionists. First impression so far — had me a crush on them. After checking in — had my key — I headed towards the lift which delighted my sense of excitement — only because you don’t find this feature anything near to being common — the lift buttons will only be activated at the tap of your room key. I fell in love instantly! As I arrived at the door to my room, my heart skipped a beat and I had butterflies in my tummy as I slowly pull out my room key and gave a tap on my room door. As the room revealed itself — I was speechless. The room was beautiful. Absolutely worth it. For $ 119 a night — great value for what it’s worth. The king size bed was heavenly comfortable with the 42inch TV. What more can I ask? Well. actually it even came with a huge shower room that could likely fit 6 people like a sandwich. The washroom was huge overall. Hampton Inn has won my heart. With the night stay — it came with a complimentary hot breakfast which consists of a variety of items in a buffet style. Food was good. Nothing overly impressive about the food. It’s acceptable. Now. they do have a small pool and a good size hot tub for relaxation. The night I checked in — I figured since the pool closes at 2200 — maybe 2100 would be perfect with less kids(in which I was hoping for). I was wrong. I have nothing against kids but the fact that while relaxing in the hot tub — the kids begin to throw a tiny version of rugby ball across from the pool to the hot tub and gave a nice splash. It was slightly horrifying when you just don’t know if the ball will ever hit your face. So — my sense of relaxation turned into a slight sense of anxiety — fear of the ball possibly hitting my face at any point. After the maximum recommended time of 15minutes in the hot tub — I left for the comfort of my room. Overall, it was a great stay despite the kids’ inconsiderate actions in the pool area. I would definitely return for another lovely stay.
