Brown’s Shoe Shops

I needed (yes, needed this time) new boots and it’s always the same dilemma.
Me: Hello! I’d love these in a size 5.
Standard Sales Assoc: Ya, no. Like we don’t carry that size.
Me: Interesting, I got size 5’s here before.
Standard Sales Assoc: *runs to the back and hides so not to be bothered by me again*
Well, not at Browns! I had such a pleasant experience here that It will make me return. While eyeing up some rain boots, I got approached and asked if I need assistance. I pick up a boot and mumble out my request waiting to hear the negative response… but no! that’s not what I hear at all, She kindly says «yes, just one moment I will go check the back»
When she returns she comes back with not only a box but with another sales assoc too. She introduces us and he takes out the boots and hands them to me… I am quite excited, but after I put them on I notice my short little legs might not be fitting for this boot (noooo) and I ask him if I look, well. stupid. Instead of just saying no, buy them like a standard retail employee, he takes a step back, evaluates and then asks another assoc. for her opinion.
Well I am glad he did because she suggested a shorter pair of the same boot (IN MY SIZE!!) and they fit like they were made for me! I know this all may seem like a long winded review but I was very pleased in the fact that I wasn’t ignored, pushed to the side or lied to, just to make a sale (like other shoe stores I will not mention)

Despite my last experience at this Brown’s shoe store, I decided to give it a second go.
First of all, I must tell you all how convenient it is to have a Brown’s shoe store not only located directly off the C-​Train line, but to have it located in The Bay? Brilliant.
Second of all, this time when I walked in, I had some good service!!! I was approached in a timely manner and was quite impressed with their selection of winter boots! They are having a huge sale on right now and I had been to about a dozen shoe stores that same day and Brown’s had the most selection. They even had thigh-​high boots in stock… and THOSE, I hadn’t seen all day!
I’m so glad I gave these guys another go because my most recent visit left me very pleased.
