We were very pleased with our recent stay at this Best Western location. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! Décor is modern and stylish for a chain location! Our room was very nice and clean, king size bed and a pullout couch, everything was neat and orderly! Bathroom was a good size, and very clean, only thing I didn’t like was that the door wouldn’t stay opened, it had a pressure closure thing a ma jig on it, and it was actually kind of difficult to pull open. Hard for the kids to be in there alone too, or to open the door themselves. Pool was nice and quiet, you can tell it’s a bit older, but they have it fixed up quite nicely. Very clean area, nice ambience at night! We were in town for hockey, and this hotel was chosen for its proximity to the c train to get to the Saddledome, but I would not hesitate to stay again for any other reason! Very nice, clean and quiet hotel!

I was robbed at gunpoint by a suspected crack addict under the car canopy in front of the main doors of this hotel Friday evening as we were checking in. I’m very pleased with how the front desk clerk, Tim, handled the incident, which, however, went unacknowledged by the hotel’s management. Were I the manager of this facility, at the very least, i would have reached out the next day(we stayed Friday and Saturday night) to enquire into the guest’s well-being. Tim handled the call to the police effectively and was able to provide a good description and security video of the assailant. I don’t hold the hotel responsible for the incident itself, but when we left this morning the parking lot, which is on an incline in front of the hotel was skating rink slick. Management has to know about that issue and appears to have no interest in spending the money to address it. Apart from that, nice, pleasant staff. Room was average, reasonably clean, smelled about what you’d expect from a building this age.

Stayed here for work. It was 3 minutes by car into downtown and less than 10 minutes to Chinook Mall. I walked into downtown. I wouldn’t recommend it. The questionable sidewalk and the fast, high volume traffic isn’t worth it. But it is possible in under 30 minutes. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was clean. It is right on MacLeod Trail, but there is very little car noise once the rush hour ends. There is a bit of parking in the front and a whole lot that is barely full is the back. There is a pool and hot tub. The workout a room is a little disappointing with a weight machine and a stationary bike. The only equipment that was decent was the treadmill. The pool was mostly deserted when I went down there. Hot breakfast was free and pretty decent. I wouldn’t mind staying here again. They don’t have a restaurant or any other features, but they are a good location to set off for anything on you need at an easy distance. The Wi-Fi was pretty awful. I didn’t stay connected to it or when I was it was so weak.

Other than it being about a 2 min drive near a cemetery, it’s a great hotel and for the value of $ 130/nite, i would recommend this to fellow Unilocalers. It’s just a quick 5min. straightaway, one way to DT. Pool, jacuzzi, free breakfast, small fitness centre, free parking(typical for a 3-storey hotel), up to date typical BW standards(just not modern décor, but not 80’s bedspreads either), white linen w/earth-tone bedrunners/bedskirts, and spacious rooms. Like the work desk w/another seperate section for the 2 arm chairs and a round table. Located on a busy road, beside a Toyota, w/some businesses in the area.
