I stayed in this hotel during my Calgary trip, as it is conveniently(well…sort of) located next to a LRT station with quick access to downtown. The lobby actually looks quite nice, quite spacious as well. However, the concierge was rather slow in handling our check-in. Also, we had to leave our luggage behind as our room wasn’t ready, even though we arrived a few minutes after the early check-in time. We had a room on the 1st floor, which means we couldn’t use the elevator. The floor was quite hard to navigate, as the floor plan is shaped like a peeled banana, and the lighting was quite dark as well. The room itself was actually not bad. I liked the fact there were two sinks in the room, as I was able to cleanse my face while my friend was in the washroom itself showering and doing other stuff. I also liked how the room was spacious, and everything inside worked relatively okay. Would I stay back in this hotel? I do know this hotel gets busy during the Stampede, but if you overlook the slow and disorganized concierge and the dark lighting of the corridors, this place isn’t too terrible.

We choose to stay here because it had a continental breakfast, a perk over a few other hotels that didn’t. The rooms are decent, a typical hotel room with a tv that was a little too small. Bathroom sink drained super slow so that was annoying. But other than that, whatever it provided a bed. But between the crappy, half-ass continental breakfast and the shitty parking(no literally the underground parking is basically covered in pigeon feathers and shit) I wouldn’t stay here again. I may have picked up bird-flu from the parking… lol.
