Horrible. I stopped in during stampede and I would be shocked if there were more than 100 bottles total in the store, nevermine 100 different ones. Many bins were empty and rumours swirl about cash flow problems. I would be shocked if this guy lasts through the summer. I haven’t and won’t be back.

This isn’t just your normal wine store; it feels like a wine gallery. 100 Wines is so intelligently laid out, it is spacious and sleek and is the brainchild of the young David Walker who has a very extensive history in the wine field including selecting wines for the Banff Hotel. David feels that wine should be fun, accessible as well as educational. Therefore each wine is numbered from 1 to 100, the first 20 wines are priced at under $ 20 and each wine has its own specific documentation written on a placard right beside it. You therefore know which country it is from, what family makes it and what taste sensation to expect. They go so far to even have it written on your receipt and stored in the computer so if you wanted a case of that number 50 let’s say, they can easily find it for you. It is like your own personal registry so to speak. There is even a special wine tasting room called the locker room where they have their special wines and where they will have a nice collection of very nice Scotches. They have many wine tasting inaugurations here, there is even an elaborate boardroom that displays work of art where groups can relax and talk about wine. All in all a new wining experience, must definitely go on my stop whining and start wining list. Thanks David!
