A sheepish 3.5 stars, I normally don’t eat this kind of food, though I love tacos, just not a food court type of guy unless it’s a nice one like at Richmond Center lol but I digress. Came here originally for my beloved Quizno’s but gonzo… and TT had the shortest lineup, if you can 6 ppl or so, compared to Timmy’s next door. For almost $ 4, it’s just a snack, not to get you full. Fresh, lightly battered fish taco, and really, the best part was the sauce. Fast service.

Another fast food guilty pleasure on my period. Mexi fries and greasy tacos. At least once a month this is my stop(with other fast food places as reviewed). Blame it on the hormones. Customer service is pathetic here.

I never really been fond of junk food joints as they are usually serve food cooked from frozen. But I actually like their Crisp beef Burrito. They also sell these things called Maxi fries, which is practically the same as a tater tots. Unless if you enjoy eating basic little burritos and is too lazy to cook and is around metrotown, then Taco Time is a good place to buy something to eat.

My husband and I have grabbed food from the Metropolis at Metrotown food court on a few occasions when we’ve somehow missed lunch or dinner during our errands. I’ll normally choose to stop at Taco Time, mostly because I really, really enjoy taco salad. Normally when I come here, there’s a long line up. I find that it takes about 5 minutes to get to the counter and order. The cashier’s, while nice, either can’t hear you really well, or don’t understand what you’re trying to order. Once they figure out your order, it only takes a few minutes between ordering and receiving your food. I really dislike the organization of the counter, since people have to constantly push past you when you’re waiting for your food to get straws/napkins/etc. They should really have two stations for these items, not just one on the side. I’ve only ever ordered the mexi-fries(essentially tater tots) and the taco salad here. With the taco salad, it can be a little bland, but it comes in a taco bowl which is awesome. I recommend adding the taco sauce on the side of the counter to the salad as your dressing. It definitely spices it up. I have no complaints about the mexi-fries. It is a little pricey to spend $ 9 on a taco salad(including tax), but you know what you’re getting every time. The service at Taco Time deserves a two, but I’m giving Taco Time 3 stars because it’s much more challenging than you’d think to get a decent taco salad in the Lower Mainland, especially one in a taco bowl. For food court quality food, it’s not bad.

Taco Time sucks; it doesn’t hold a candle to Taco Bell. It is a cheap inferior imitation. Sorry for the harshness but I have ordered it taken one bite and walked away from my food court meal. Mushy, cold, over-cooked, sitting there forever and just grim looking. Yeah, not so much!
