My friend comes here all the time but the manager never recognizes her, which should already be an indication of the level of service We sat down and were going to order our drinks in a bit but some employee came near us and basically glared at us until we left. We clearly didn’t get our drinks even though I usually love blenz. They’re usually very accommodating but defs not this location

Blenz coffee at Metrotown is a great way to support Canadian businesses and really skip through the lineups quickly compared to Starbucks upstairs near the SkyTrain. The owner and staff are kind, courteous, and brew up some great types of coffee including London Fog and a great café mocha. They’ve got plenty of tables and leather armchairs probably are double the amount of Starbucks upstairs and yet it seems to be a hidden treasure! If you love coffee and you love Canadian culture you gotta check this place out because they do a great job and they have great coffee. They have some pretty awesome treats too including peanut butter bars, muffins and other goodies.

There’s definitely a compromise in quality when you visit coffee shops by skytrain station. This Blenz location falls into that very category. Ordering a green tea latte with soy milk seems simple, but it was disappointing to see how inattentive the staff was when I was placing my order. Wrong size and they used regular milk(a difficulty really as I’m lactose-intolerant). Really, the worst was that when I asked for them to use soy instead, the manager said«Just take it, we’re busy. Grab a cookie instead.» Definitely won’t be getting my drinks at this location anymore!

Worst manager ever«Sam».the man doesn’t even know the difference between microfoam and foam. I order a regular late, and speficifically asked the clerck lady if they knew how to make microfoam, the manager«Sam» jumped in right away and asured me that of course he knows how. What a disapoinment when i took the first sip, and beneath that 1⁄8 of an inch of dry foam there it was just liquidy coffe. Politly enough I tried to explain him the difference between dry foam and wet foam(microfoam), this guy was so rude; «you dont know what your talking about, have a nice day» he said to me, trying to brush me off. I tried to get a refund, or store credit, he didnt even want to give me that, after 10 minutes of trying to reason with this guy, he finally let me have something from the shop in exchange of what i paid for the latte. I grabed a waterbottle and left. Worst manager i’ve ever met.

Solid 3.5 stars, convenient location ground level when entering/exiting the doors to the bus loop. Luckily for me, coming up the escalators from the underground parking is also convenient. Saw the cinnamon rolls, instant reaction to order and boy, it’s as good as the real McCoy on Alma St… thick with icing. For a mall location, I was impressed with their customer service, the young teenagers working here. Lounge seating in front, as well as seating behind the kiosk too.

The brand itself is great, this chain in particular is not. The manager is a narrow-minded«businessman» who opts for immediate cost-cutting habits rather than a culture of customer service, and the staff are poorly trained. The drinks here look and taste different from other(better) Blenz cafes and they will not hesitate to reject your request for it to be made again, properly. Maybe because they don’t want to? Maybe because they don’t know how? I think it’s the latter.

I have given my custom to this branch of Blenz over the last 2 years and have spent hundreds of dollars. Yet today, I just found out they don’t give free birthday drinks! Talk about taking and not giving back. I’m not hard up that I need a free drink but thought something like this would be a great, fun way to treat customers. I will never spend my $$$ here again and I will surely tell my whole network to do the same. Bye bye Blenz!

Blenz is better than the bigger coffee chains and I was a regular at this location from when it opened until my office moved away, though I still stop by when I have a meeting nearby. The queues are usually tolerable and the staff pretty efficient. There’s a reasonable amount of seating around the kiosk but it’s not the most ideal spot since there’s a lack of natural light. did have a problem using a credit card gift card a few years ago — the manager refused to accept it, perhaps he thought my ID should read«Valued Scotiabank Customer» to match the gift card! The dark chocolate mocha is definitely one of the chain’s biggest strength’s — great flavour and not too sweet. The hot chocolates don’t quite reach the same level of pleasure.

I try and avoid the whole rating of large coffee chain retail locations, however, lately they have impressed me in terms of their creation of the Matcha Green Tea latte and this and all other locations. Sadly, this locations looses points with me in comparison to the others that I hit up when I have a craving for the green drink. They’re staff at this location seem more clueless than practical. They’ve messed up my order on more than one occasion and they’re the only location that doesn’t carry a Stevia based sweetener to my knowledge. Whenever I order something, sometimes the staff look at me like a dear in headlights. Blenz is a good coffee shop in comparison to the other large fast food chain store, however, this one is in serious sad condition.

My Milk Hot Chocolate tastes like watered down milk with a pinch of cocoa that I have to concentrate really hard to detect. This has happened before too. Mr/Ms Franchise Owner, why you a chocolate Grinch!!! Please follow the actual Blenz hot chocolate recipe(or whatever) and make the Blenz hot chocolate that I know exists. How disappointing.

I am a coffee fan! Not as big a fan as I am of sushi but I am a fan and I like Blenz. This Blenz is very convenient for me to get to when I am going to my eye doctors as they are essentially right next door to one another. One can also have a seat in the nice comfy chairs or at one of the tables that they are able to provide in the wee area that they have been given inside of the mall. Here the staff have always been kind and efficient to me, which I am big on having worked in the service industry. It also has that hustle and bustle without feeling squished like you can in other coffee shops. When in the area I will definitely be choosing them over some of their competition.
