This place has thee best Italian sandwiches is Burlington. It is always made fresh and they down cut corners on their food. This place very disappoints!

One of the favourite spots around lake-front Burlington is this cute little Italian styled café that never fails to satisfy its customers. I want to start with the tomato and red pepper soup(might come in a different name in the menu) which is to die for. It has not completely dissolved piece of goat cheese in it that makes it exceptionally tasty. Pizzas are great too. You will have a good choice of sweet and savoury choices of pastry goods(spinach and cheese Danish is highly recommended) and breads are fantastic. If you want to try different types of bread at once I suggest you try their simple bread and butter breakfast which includes pieces of different fresh breads with some butter and some tasty jam. It has a door that opens to the Burlington tourist information office and has a seating area in there for the occasions there is an overflow of customers. There is a patio outside too that could be pleasant in summers, especially if you are with your dog, though I don’t think dogs are allowed in the patio.

This is quite a cozy little place with the smells of baked bread wafting in the air. I only wanted a little snack, so I just purchased a chocolate cupcake and breadstick and was pleasantly surprised. The cupcake was very moist and the breadstick was quite crisp. Prices are about on par with other trendy little gourmet bakeries.

In the seminal text on white culture«Stuff White People Like», expensive sandwich shops are important parts of white culture. Pane Fresco is textbook. There are a few things to like about this place. The fig bread is outstanding. The pizza slices look interesting. Prices are high, however. A panini runs about $ 11-$ 14. And it doesn’t seem to come grilled. Or with any kind of side other than a few olives. So, basically it’s a $ 14 white person bahn mi. I’ve had better for less. Certainly. Seating is tight. The place is wonderfully appointed and seems to be the go to place when celebs come to Burlington. Not a bad place for first date but not a place you really want to nosh at regularly.

I never thought that Burlington would have much to offer in terms of a lake front area, but my impressions were quickly shattered. Pane Fresco is in a great area near Lakeshore in Burlington. Reading up about Pane Fresco, I was a bit worried that I was getting more into an artisan sandwich shop(while looking for a good breakfast place), but they offered pizza, artisan breads, soups, coffee, and on the weekend, delicious breakfast. It’s a small café, so probably good for a group of 4, tops. I had the Belgian Waffles and a Moccachino for brunch, and will most likely to continue having that combo when I go! The waffles were fluffy, topped with fresh berries and cream. The service was also very quick. My friend and I received our meals within 10 minutes(granted, it wasn’t busy), but I’m sure it wouldn’t be much longer for the small establishment. I would definitely recommend this place for a quiet, relaxing, Saturday or Sunday morning.
