Coast Tire & Auto Service

I’d rate this place a zero or less. This place is a rip off! I took my 2012 Honda Civic to Performance Edge in Sackville for an Mvi 2 days ago and was told I needed to replace my back brakes all else was good on my vehicle. They were too booked to do the follow up inspection the next day and I needed my mvi so I booked in at Coast. They called to tell me they failed me and put a rejection sticker on. He followed up by saying I needed 2 lower control arms that cost 205 a pc and 193.50 to put them on and then he would inspect the vehicle. David charged me 36 dollars for the service. I left there and took my vehicle to CAnadian Tire and asked a mechanic to please check my control arms and price out the cost. He showed me my control arms and verified there was nothing wrong with them. My car passed inspection with flying colours. This shop is an example of why women think they are discriminated against and taken for a ride by dirty mechanics. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Coast called me today and offered to replace the scuffed wheel.

We’ve been taking our car to Coast for about four years now and have always been happy with their services. They are friendly and usually have no problem getting us in quickly. I don’t know a whole lot about cars so I can’t write anything super detailed but I do know that we’re always satisfied with them! :)

I stopped in here to see about tires. I wanted to price some to do some comparison shopping. I am a complete novice when it comes to tires.
I know there is the bare bones ones and then the Cadillac ones as well. Now they have to option of Nitrogen in the tires, which the ones I have actually do have. The only draw back there is, none of the service stations carry this for tires, so you are out of luck if you are in a fix.
I am not really sure of the reason for Nitrogen over air, but I am sure a few of the people reading this do. So I decided to ask, the answer was, better handling, better gas mileage (yippee), better tire retention, and cooler running temperatures for your tires.
Tires with the bright green caps on them mean they are filled with Nitrogen.
I can say I had a great experience with Coast Tire and learned a lot.
