There are not many free standing A & W’s left. This one is located in Bedford, actually out around the Malls. It is a fairly large restaurant and has all the goodies on the menu. Some order the Cheese Burgers, some order the Chubby Chicken, which is actually good. I am always really thirsty after eating the chicken though, maybe a little high on the salt content. The fries are always great though! It is great to eat in, you get the frosted mug!

If you are from Halifax you would remember when the A & W used to be on Kemp road. Going there with the family on Sunday and they used to roller-skate out and bring your trays to you and clip them onto your car. Oh and the Root Beer in the frosty mugs Delish! Well it is not like that anymore. Plastic tray and wax cups to go.lol. If I go to A & W I normally get the teen burger and fries for around $ 8 –10 which is not bad. Now my son LOVEs A & W that is always his first choice for the. To me I find the burgers a bit salty but hey they must be doing something right!
