Beautiful, romantic hotel right by the water. Service was amazing, people were thoughtful and nice and we had an all around grand time there. And absolutely reasonably priced! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a romantic Victorian style hotel, and is looking for a warm friendly atmosphere. Thank you for a lovely weekend Die Swaene!

A review of the Restaurant Pergola at the Swan hotel… We had been recommended this place by Tine at Canal Deluxe, as her family own it. She was very transparent about the connection and we felt she would not be happy sending clients there if it was not a decent place. It was the best place we ate at in Bruges! Their set menu was FANTASTIC value, and the food as good as one could have hoped for. I again had eel… a dish that is often not on a restaurant menu, and it was delicious. They have a great wine list and we went towards the lower ranges of the price list and had a delicious South African red from memory. The restaurant is set in the basement of the Swan hotel annex and has a great design style, candles flicker at night and you do really need to be told about the place as it is not on the tourist drag. The location is however fairly central, and we certainly recommend an evening spent imbibing and eating here. We had as short atmospheric potter back in the rain via the central square to Canal Deluxe and then enjoyed our next door guests having some slap and tickle… you’ll have to read our review of Canal Deluxe for more details…

Such a beautiful boutique hotel. We had a room where the windows open directly onto the canal. The tourist boats going by during the day could be a little bit annoying, but who stays in the hotel during the day anyway? At night, it was completely serene and hauntingly beautiful. The hotel was once a residence and carries that cozy charm forward. We had an apéritif in the lounge before dinner one night and it was splendid. Loved the brocade wallpaper and baroque swan details. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was incredibly good. One day was an herb omelet that I could have eaten everyday! Breakfast is served in a french country style room that was once the dinning area. This creates and interesting bright patio/dark cave contrast so that everyone can find seating that suits their desires.

Charming and fantastic bed in breakfast in the heart of historic Brugge. I recently stayed her and had the most fantastic experience. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They speak English, French, Dutch and German that I heard. There’s a great hotel entrance with comfortable velvet chairs for lounging in. Upstairs is a romantic drawing room with soaring ceilings, a piano and a very renaissance feel. There’s even an indoor pool! Breakfasts are to die for at The Swan. There’s a beautiful dining room with a garden patio. The garden patio is covered and glassed in for wintertime, but still has great charm. Breakfast items included juices, coffees, teas, hot chocolates, any kind of pastry or type of bread you can imagine, fresh meats and cheeses, cereals, fruits, baked apples and much more. They will even make fresh omlettes or eggs to order. I had a fantastic experience staying here and would recommend it to everyone!
