Best bar in Bruges, hands down. If you are experiencing sunshine and warm weather while in the city, 2be has the best beer garden. What makes it stand out are the boat tours that pass you by. If you’re a fan of the movie ‘In Bruges’ you’ll understand. The massive beer wall that you walk past to enter the bar, is something that leaves you with your jaw on the floor. It’s quite a sight. If you want to read their menu, look up towards the ceiling. You’ll find them hanging above your head attached to chords. Just pull it down to read. Everything about 2be is perfection.

Overrated. Don’t believe the hype. This is total tourist trap shit show. If you want to taste some great Belgian(and specifically Trappist) beers, go to a smaller more intimate place like De Garre or ‘t Brugs Beertje The basement store is well-stocked, but not necessarily with anything you can’t find in five other places nearby.

The selection of beers here was amazing! My husband loved the choices. However, it is tiny — and it was raining — there was just no choice but to stand outside to taste our beers as the bar area is tiny and was jam packed! This took away from the experience for us.

This bar has a delightful beer garden next to the canal. Try the beer tasting menu, a great idea for a group of friends.

This great tourist bar on the corner of probably the most photographed site in Bruges. It is famous for its wall of beer which is probably a 15mt glass cased wall of 400 different types of beer each with its individually branded glass. As you enter the main part of the bar there are some small tables with stools & then hanging from the ceiling on recoiled elastic are the menus for the 13 types of draught beer with an explanation of the flavour of each. You can get small(2.5 €) medium(2.5 €-5 €) & large(4.5 €-6.5 €) or a sampler tray. The sampler tray is 10 € & gives you 4 small beers &3 small cups of snacks, nuts, cheese etc. The sampler tray comes in a selection of light, strong or mixed beers so you can select your desired strength. There is an outdoor section on the balcony which overlooks the canal which has heated lamps. There is also a shop on the same premises serving an array of alcohol. My only downside was that as the bar is famous for its beer wall, it only seemed to be selling the main 13 draught beers & a small selection of beers in the fridges. I thought it would’ve had more of a choice given its reputation. On the whole a great atmosphere bar & a must for any tourist in Bruges!

The walk down to the bar down an alleyway is past a showcase of Belgium beers and glasses. This is quite impressive and you will struggle to get it onto one picture. The bar is quite small with just a few tables inside but there are tables with heaters on the alley way down to the bar and on the private patio accessed from within the bar itself. Service is quick and to help you order there are beer menus hung from the ceiling that you can pull down to read which spring back up when you let go. When I first visited there were only a few draft beers to choose from this is now considerably more with the latest visit showing 9 active pumps. Beer is served is small 25 medium 33cl or large 50cl glasses. The patio is the place to go. It is set on a corner with canals surrounding it. Extremely scenic and peaceful if it were not so popular. Food is limited to bar snacks such as salami and cheese. Served with or without mustard. Toilets are off the alleyway in and were not pleasant. Well worth a visit just have a look at the patio

Bref allez-y !

Directions: Detour down the little alley walkway into beer heaven. As you walk into the throws of Beerdom, you’ll be overwhelmed by the encapsulated wall of bottled beers. You’ll be tempted to break the glass with your head then consume them all at once, but those beers are not for you, my friend. Keep walking. After stepping inside you’ll reach a short line leading up to 2 – 4 beer taps which are updated frequently with a variety of their award-winning beers. If, once you get beyond the super-model-esque stunning good looks of your bodacious blonde beer-tending goddess, order, then find a quaint romantic tree-canopied table overlooking the canal. If you can’t get over her, then move. Cuz there are tons of people waiting behind you cursing in every known language to Humankind. Sip your beer, wave at the boat tours, have a smoke(YES, you can smoke out on the vast patio-lounge-terrace — yay!!); Return to the beer counter, order some World class frites with another beer… or two. — hiccup — Meet new friends from around the world, engage in discourse while consuming another of the best beer(was that #3 or #4? I lost count) your planet has to offer. Repeat, if you can still stand. — hiccup —

Love coming here when I’m in Brugge! The place is fab, beer is great! Loved the coconut beer, always munch on the cheese and chips. Recommend the balcony.

Touristy beer place, but it’s a city tourists go for beer so you can’t really complain! Loads of different beers, on a wall(it’s in the name) as you walk in. They have a great selection and the view from outside is awesome. There’s not a huge amount to say about this place. Good beer. Good views. You may not get a seat straight away. It’s a bit soulless though. If you want somewhere with a wide variety and a bit of character go to Cambrinus.

We stumbled upon 2be Beer Wall on happenstance. After finishing our canal boat tour, we were walking around randomly when we were drawn to the fancy entryway. As you enter, you see the entire wall decked out by all the great Belgian beers. If this doesn’t whet your thirst, the beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the canals will definitely win you over. Our party of 3 shared the«light» and«mix» option, which comes with 4 samples of different beer and light nibbles each for 10 euros. I loved that the samples come with complementary brochures that have the notes and descriptions of the beers that you are sampling. I brought this home with me so that I can pick up some new beers at Trader Joe’s when I go back to the states.

I passed the patio of this bar while on a canal tour and decided that was where I wanted to spend the rest of the day. The bar is in an awesome location right in the heart of Bruges, and the selection of beers was impressive and well priced. I loved that the menus were on big elastic bands hanging from the ceiling, and that you can order by number and in a variety of sizes. The afternoon we spent on the terrace overlooking the canal was a highlight of the trip — great people watching, comfortable chairs and the long tables mean we were able to make a few new friends over good beer.

A truly excellent bar. Extremely well priced and in a perfect central location overlooking the classic canals of Bruges. As other reviewers noted, they carry a good selection of beer that will suit anyone’s taste for Belgian beer. The best of the best dark Trappists to choose from(St. Bernardus Abt 12, Westmalle Dubbel(on tap), Rochefort 10), and also plenty of tripels and some local selections. Of particular tasty interest, pair your Belgian Dubbel with Chimay Trappist cheese! Delicious. I think they have a limited wine selection, too, if anyone in your group doesn’t fancy Belgian beer. One very important point: They do not accept credit/debit cards! There’s an ATM at the entrance(on the wall behind you as you enter), but make sure you’re prepared!

A total GEM in Bruges! TONS of Belgian beers to try, several on tap, and the prices are VERY reasonable! The terrace area isn’t huge, but the views are incredible and there’s lots of seating as well as patio heaters if it gets cool. They didn’t seem to be open late, though — the weekend nights we were there they closed at 8pm, I believe. MUSTTRY!

Of the bars we have visited in Bruges, 2be Beer Wall is our favorite. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the view sitting outside by the canal can’t be beat! They have a nice variety on tap and the prices are reasonable– € 3 or € 3.50 for a medium glass.

I love this place! My favourite pub in Brugges! I always make sure to drop by here whenever I’m in Brugges. It’s a huge place, with an outdoor beer garden over looking the canal, a huge beer shop next door, and a beautiful beer wall! Worth checking out. I’m so jealous if you happen to be in the area!

Thanks to fellow Unilocalers, when in Brugge and looking to kill a couple of hours before dinner, we decided to visit this cool bar. I was pretty excited to try it out after seeing all the positive reviews and wasn’t disappointed! 2be Beer Wall may not offer all the beers featured on the wall(or do they?) but they do offer a good and varied selection of various Belgian brews. Atmosphere is cool – didn’t check out the terrasse in the back as there seemed to be a lot of people there but opted to go for the more quite front tables(tables before the bar/cash register). Neat decoration – check out the bathroom, the sinks are aquariums(in both the men’s and women’s!). I’d definitely recommend as a fun place to get a drink in Brugge!

Must have taken some time for the builder or his team to get all those beer bottles. Either that or with imagination one would say the wall is built from one long night when they all got drunk and all the bottles came from one night of boozing it up. The beer selection is good, hence the display. The barkeep is upbeat. The crowd by the bar is young and it is pretty lively in there socially and one can easily start a conversation. I like they had heaters at the tables outside to keep those that decide to stay at the outdoor tables warm. I’m not sure if it’s part of the Beer Wall Bar but there is also a cool shop at the entrance/exit that sells unique and cool crafted items.

This place is the best spot to drink in Bruges. They have a huge selection of bottled beers but they also have the cheapest prices on their draft selection with the large 50 cl sizes only being about 4 – 5 euros. Not only are the prices great but the outdoor seating is right on the canal making it a great place to sit and watch the boats go by. 2be can get busy but seats tend to open up fairly quickly and we always met great people here.

Par où commencer… Ah oui !

My photo only really scratches the surface of the selection available, which is easily some of the best ever. The hallway is lined with bottles and just plain majestic. But I think only the selections in the same room as the actual bar are in the rotation for sale. The draft selection is limited but superb, and nothing seems to set you back more than 5 Euro. You can also have a cup of hot chocolate. Cognac is optional. Chill out on the patio and have a smoke by the river flowing nearby. Appreciate that you are in a very overlooked city in the world, and that it’s…well, pretty free of worries. Serene. Surreal, even. I’d return in a heartbeat.

A VOIR !!
