Found this café while walking through the Antwerpian snowfall. We left the Groenplaats and heading towards the cathedral when this café was spotted. It looked warm and inviting, so the four of us went inside to warm up and drink beer. Its a small and friendly place. The young lady behind the bar was very sweet and didn’t mind an annoying American trying to be humorous. I settled for a De Konninck beer, as did my Norwegian compatriot. The ladies went for the warmer option of warm wine/gluwein, which had a lemon wedge with a clove in it. They both said it was delicious. There were a few guys sitting at the bar and we started chatting with one of them about soccer/football, since we came to town to see the Beerschot — Mons game at the Olympic Stadium(which I’ll review as well). The café is really just comfortable and pleasant. You can even watch the snow covered people walk by if you go this time of year!
