this place is amazing!
I had lunch there several times and it was always! extremely delicious! ingredients are very fresh, the food on the plate looks amazing and is very tasty. the homemade lemonades are delicious as well!
the place is quite small, but that is definitely a plus, cause it’s super cozy and the waiters are helpful and friendly. it’s not just a restaurant but also a shop, where you can buy the lovely seasonings and spices to cook with at home :)
Kim kocht is my absolute favourite Asian restaurant — you can really taste the freshness and don’t feel like eating canned food, as you may have experienced the dishes at other Asian or Chinese restaurants!

Ein Besuch in Wien bedeutet auch, einen Besuch auf dem Naschmarkt. Nachdem wir den Naschmarkt rauf und runter gelaufen sind, wollten wir etwas naschen und sind im Kim kocht wineclass hängen geblieben. Ein kleiner Stand mit 8 Sitzplätzen in dem überwiegend Weine und Champagner verköstigt und verkauft werden aber auch kleine Speisen. Und genau von denen haben wir uns verzaubern lassen: Schaffrischkäse mit Rucolapesto und Champagner-​Melonensalat für 7 Euro oder Grüner und weißer Spargel mit Passionsfrucht-​Vinaigrette, Jakobsmuschel und Kumquat für 13 Euro. Hier kamen wir mehr als voll auf unsere Gaumenfreude. Unser Krönung war das Hauptgericht: Riesengarnelen im Prosciutto-​Mantel, dazu Süßkartoffelpüree und gratinierte Feige mit Gruyère für 20 Euro (ein Gedicht). Wer also mal etwas außergewöhnlich naschen möchte, in kleinen Ambiente und mit toller Bedienung ist hier genau richtig!!!

Beste asiatische Küche von Kim. Ein Genuss der seinesgleichen sucht. Auch das Dessert eine Lemongras Brulee war spitze.

Zum großen Restaurant im 9. Bezirk habe ich es noch nicht geschafft, ein samstäglicher Besuch am Naschmarkt hat jetzt doch geklappt.
Tischreservierung ist Samstag nicht möglich, first come first serve. Öffnungzeit: 12:00
Ambiente: Naschmarkt-​Standl inklusive Passanten die 2 – 3 Sekunden stehen bleiben und die vollen Teller der Gäste anstarren. :)
Service ist trotz Hype-​Status sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Speisekarte ist klein (4 Vorspeisen, 4 Hauptspeisen) aber sehr fein. Ich hatte die Tagessuppe und Fisch im Sack. Außergewöhnlich tolles Geschmackserlebnis, ich war ehrlich beeindruckt.
Preise sind moderat-​gehoben (Hauptspeise ~18EUR), Preis/​Leistungsverhältnis aus meiner Sicht fantastisch.

We waited a bit for spots at the communal table in this small Korean restaurant in the Naschmarkt. The time passed quickly as we were entertained watching Kim alternately cook and work the dining room (she’s incredibly cute in addition to being a talented chef.)
Her colleague, who judiciously refilled our wine glasses once we were seated, was also a pleasure. He explained the specials in English for us and helped me discover that Austrian wine paired with Asian food is pretty much a match made in heaven. And one that I will seek to recreate regularly when I return to London!
While vegetarian options aren’t obviously called out on the menu, simply ask and a veggie bibimbap will be expertly whipped up for you as it was for my dining companion.
Meat eaters will not be disappointed by the ramen; excellent broth (the measure of any Asian noodle soup, no?)
Saturday lunch at Kim Kocht is one of my favourite Wien memories. On my next visit to the city I’ll surely seek out Kim’s original location in the 9^th district!
