Well, colour me disappointed: I saw precisely zero goats in this so-​called paddock. Closer investigation reveals that this is actually a historical name and is not presently used to house goats or their kids. Bummer. What it is, however, is a very scenic track heading down a slope towards the water’s edge. From the top of the trail, visitors are treated to a full view of North Sydney and the Harbour Bridge, while below, you can look towards the piers.
On a weekday morning, there was no one about and it proved to be a very Zen place to sit and contemplate the important things in life: who was my favorite member of the Sugarhill Gang? And which cereal would I eat on Death Row? Placing myself in these calming surrounds allowed me to unveil the truth: it was Big Bank Hank and I would eat Lucky Charms.
A pleasant little surprise far removed from the hustle and bustle of Victoria Road.
