Was looking for somewhere different so I popped by. Parking right out front was a good start. Has a really quaint vibe, great coffee. But the stand-out performer is the head barista, perhaps owner. His personality makes the whole experience outstanding, and remembers your order! And I’d only been there once! This is my third time.

Argh my apple maps had me walking around in circles looking for this place. Finally found it, staring right in front of me. Love the ambience of this place, it’s a place for anyone, unless you’re a pretentious, entitled twat. The customer service? I felt like I was an invited guest to their home. Warm, friendly, welcoming from all there, even the patrons. There coffee, I dig it! Creamy enough without being bland, and tasty enough without the bitterness. Love it. I had avocado on rye, I think the butter was hand made… WHAT?! Combined together, simple and delish. Parking seems limited, but they do take atm/credit cards. I like this place, well worth the 30 minute walk and apple maps detour. Going back!

The Little Prince: calling all local Indie’s! Take a seat outside on a crate, a chair, or the floor! Whatever your seat calling is, they’ve got it. I rocked up here at 6am after a sleepless night to get a dirty– chai. I think I caught them on a bad morning, my dirty chai was mostly dirty, however the atmosphere was lovely so I stayed and read a book. The artwork on the wall was very cool and I was intrigued. In fact, I came home and read up on the children’s story«The Little Prince». I’m disappointed but not discouraged to try again. Every business has their down days in terms of product, so I will be coming back to try that chai once more.

This place is just lovely. I love that staff is really bubbly and chatty. They seem to know all their customers and if not, they are definitely not shy.:) I’ve had a long black and the muesli for breakfast. The long black was nice and smooth and without the bitter aftertaste that you get quite often these days. The muesli came with milk, natural yoghurt and some berry compote. Very simple, but tasty. The Little Prince is a little bit off my way, but definitely worth the trip.

One of the best places for coffee in Brisbane. I am a regular here. Kris is an amazing chap and knows(almost) everyone by name and coffee preference. The other staff members are friendly and inviting. If you are passionate about coffee this is a place you must visit.

There’s a guy sitting in the corner reading with no shoes on. The only thing to break his concentration was a brief interaction with one of the staff about his want to go surfing. At the table next to me there’s an elderly couple, who from hearing their conversation with the barista of the hour Kris, are from Moree and own an agricultural supply business. Shortly after a steady flow of Mater Hospital staff roll through the doors and are all greeted by name and an inviting welcome from Kris. I’d popped in to this café within the old Princess Theatre for a meeting and as a result sat witness to a community café that for passers by, locals, staff from the neighboring hospital and people(or patients) could visit and not be subjected to the usual less-than-appealing hopsital fare. My coffee(a Cup blend) was mild, creamy and speckled with notes of chocolate. There’s a selection of sandwiches(all named after characters in The Little Prince) and cakes. You can also snap up a jar of the Downtown Honey Co’s honey while you’re here. I ended up folding and ordering their special of the day: a bagel with spinach, egg, avocado and tomato relish. It was fresh, light and the perfect for my «I can’t commit to breakfast and don’t want to have a heavy brunch» state of mind. And, all for a neat tenner! Huzzah.

I live quite close to The Little Prince Espresso, and have been pretty bummed about the lack of a good coffee place that’s open on weekends. I’d wandered past a few times but it was a friend raving about the great brew that made me finally pop in for a look. The space is small and welcoming, the service is excellent and the coffee is magnificent. It’s perfect for a coffee on the go, or to sit back and relax with a book and a toasted sandwich. I always look forward to treating myself to a leisurely breakfast there on a Saturday or Sunday morning. (According to the sandwich board out the front, wi-fi is now available, although I haven’t tested it myself).

One word for the Little Prince: unexpected! When I finally got around to visiting, I was waiting to discover a tiny room full of hipsters crowded around the shiny Mistral coffee machine. Instead, I found a beautiful wooden high-ceilinged space I could stretch my arms out in, with a middle-aged lady I’d happily adopt as a surrogate aunty behind the counter. You know those people who you would accept a hug from even if you’d only known them for two minutes? She was one of those. I didn’t get a hug, but I did get a bonus serving of tomato relish to go with my bacon and egg breakfast roll, «just because». The coffee was super delicious, too, though I didn’t really speak to the barista because he was involved in a very in-depth conversation with two gents who had planted themselves next to the coffee machine. If they had wifi here it would certainly be somewhere I’d be happy to curl up in and work from for a couple of hours, but as it is, it’s nice enough for a quick morning tea break. The name is adorable and ties in with the fact that the café’s in a corner of the big old Princess Theatre.
