Specialties
We are an exclusively vegan grocery store and restaurant. Our product range includes substitutes for dairy, meat, and egg, as well as a wide range of unique vegan products. Gluten, soy, and nut free products are also on offer, along with eco-friendly home supplies and toiletries.
The restaurant menu features a wide range of foods, with pancakes and fry-ups for breakfast, and pasta, burgers, and (meatless) meatball subs for lunch. Gluten and soy free options are available, and we can cater to a wide range of dietary requirements. We are also open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, and tables can be booked over the phone.
Our café uses Vitasoy Café For Baristas soy milk as standard, and we can also make drinks on rice, almond, or oat milk. Our pie warmer is stocked with pies from local supplier Veitablu, and our dessert fridge features a range of sweets from Cloverly Cupcakes, Naked Treaties raw cakes, and our in-house chefs.
History
Established in 2009.
The Green Edge was launched to give Brisbane vegans a place to go where they’d never have to check the labels for hidden animal products, and to provide a space for them to meet other vegans. A place where soy milk is ‘normal’ milk (and we don’t charge extra for it.)
Moving from Enoggera to larger premises (and a full kitchen!) in Windsor in 2013, we have expanded our range and branched out to provide a full and varied menu that satisfies vegans and omnivores alike.
