I know that a lot of my reviews start the same — that this place is only getting 3 stars because there are better cafes in the area. If this café was separated from these other places(eg Tricycle café) then it might be a higher rating, but in comparison I can only give it 3 stars. The only reason we came here is that Tricycle does not open on Sunday’s. The main saving grace of this place is that they serve Mecca coffee — and if you know me, you know that I love Mecca! So the coffee here was good. Sadly, it was not great — and I think that falls on the barista. It shows you that coffee beans are not enough to make a good cup of coffee, you also need the Love! I ordered the muesli with yogurt, and I have to admit I was disappointed. It was extremely average. However, I followed Ben’s suggestion and ordered the pear and banana bread — and I have to admit that it was rather good. So if you are going to come here order the bread — best thing on the menu.

Relaxed, casual café with well sized breakfast and good coffee. I came here as I was trying to go another café in the area which was closed. Why suburban cafés are closed on Sundays is lost on me, and one of the great mysteries of the universe(it makes no sense!!!) Rant aside, this place gets points for simply being open on sunday. They serve Mecca coffee which is always a tick in my book. I love this coffee because of its nice strong taste. It’s like getting slapped in the face with a sack of coffee beans. Wakes you up in an instant and you’re good to go. I had the 3 eggs, poached on Turkish with extra avo. May I reiterate that the standard was 3 eggs– 3!!! I think 3 eggs with massive toast is a fair deal for $ 10.50. Also tried the pear and raspberry bread and I concur with the previous review that this is worth a try. But if you don’t have that much of a sweet touch ask for it without the dusting of icing sugar. Really chilled atmosphere, lots of kids running around with communal kids toys on offer– fun for the whole family.

Wahey, my new local! Just bought an apartment across the street and this joint is literally a stones throw away. As in, I could throw a stone and hit the barista. I wouldn’t want to do that though because he’s way awesome, he saw my dog tied up to a tree on the pavement and went out to give her some fresh water. That’s all anyone needs to do to make we want to be their BFFFLY(Best Friends Forever For Life Yo). The flat white was just what I want in a coffee, nice and strong, with a tiny bit of a sexy, brooding smokiness down the back end. The banana, pear & raspberry bread was an utter delight, so moist, not like those nasty dry slices of husk you cop at some places, and sprinkled liberally with icing sugar. They couldn’t have known I lick excess icing sugar off the plate. Could they? No, surely not. And a lot of the tables get washed in morning sunlight. If you need me I’ll be here with my shirt off.
